Do you know of any reason why my computer would be able to detect a connection and say sit can go online but when I try to it'll become really slow and often disconnect? This doesn't happen with my XP computer but on my Vista computer it's quite prevalent.

[QUOTE="Koinuboy"]Hey are there any telltale signs of a broken LAN port on your mobo?G013M

What do you mean?

Well can your LAN port be broken? The part of your computer where you plug in the ethernet cable, is it possible that it's damaged and your internet connection suffers from it?

Is it normal for an ethernet port on a modem to still have the light on even after the computer taking that port is off?

Is it possible for a modem to be not compatible with Vista 64 bit? Could it need updated drivers or something or does that not matter?

Does anyone know of a wireless adapter, preferably USB, with 64 bit support?

If my router is the one that's not working then I will have ot get a new one since this one from Verizon doesn't have support to upgrade. I'll try the other stuff. Keep the suggestions coming.
