I installed the drivers from the CD that came with it. It shouldn't be a driver problem.

I'm trying to get online with my new Vista PC but I'm not entirely sure why it won't work. I plug it into my router and it does connect to my network but it doesn't reach the Internet. However my XP machine, 360, and PS3 has no problems. Can anyone help? I heard you might have to open ports or something, is that true?

Go into BIOS and into advanced features and set boot up sequence with CD-ROM first.

[QUOTE="Koinuboy"][QUOTE="WhOOmpa260"]There's a video of how to install the 9700 on the zalman website. They screw one side in a bit, then the other and so on, until its tight.WhOOmpa260

lol They must have rehearsed cause it's not as easy as that. Have you built yours yet Whoompa?

alas no, im picking the case up on Sat, should have it done by the end of the weekend. How's yours holding up? Did you get that fan working?

Mine's holding up quite well though I was a bit new at installing an OS and actually installed it three times before figuring out how to install it correctly. The most tedious thing was the Zalman heatsink and mine looks a little cluttered. And as for the fan I made it spin for about an hour and now it starts up on its own. I'll have pics and specs up in the thread later.

I want to know if the computer automatically splits work among all four cores in a quad core. I don't necessarily mean programs that were designed to utilize four cores. I mean if I open up WMP, Nero, Photoshop, and Firefox on my computer does each application automatically gets assigned a core or do they all end up sharing one core unless I tell the computer to assign each to a core?

I suggest what you do is just form the video first so it's WMV. Then use Nero and burn it on to a DVD. That way it'll be able to play straight out of a DVD player.
