Looks like it is going to suffer from the issue Titanfall had. Fun for a few hours, but quickly grows boring because there is no depth. Just another shooter with a coat of star wars paint thrown on it.
@ianbrettcooper: Are you seriously comparing a movie with a video game? Apples and Oranges. Movies have a built in motion blur effect of sorts that hides the fact that it runs at 24fps
@GameFan1983 HuH strange, my 4 year old PC with a GTX 580 has no issue pulling 60fps with high/ultra settings. And my card is several years old, most people have 600 or 700 series now...So I imagine they can easily pull 60+ Nice try though with the whole "No Life, and welfare" PC gamer BS.
Lets see the consoles run it at ultra settings like it is on PC, and see if it can still run at 60fps. I doubt it. Either way, the game is still gorgeous. Some of the best lighting I've seen in a game. Also dat realistic lighter flame :P
Also if this more "indie" Developer company can get the game to run at 60fps on the consoles, what does that say about the other AAA developers who have more money.
@GOGOHeadray @Kooken58 Actually it was 512mb, and true. Though last gen consoles were built much differently than PCs. And this gen the consoles are alot more like the PC, using the same architecture. Im remaining optimistic, but with alot of these games being stuck at 30fps and no 1080p it seems a bit strange. I think watch dogs was just a case of poor optimization. Its running poorly even on PC with high end machines.
@GOGOHeadray Im pretty certain consoles do as well. Why do you think 2GB is dedicated to the OS's for the consoles? 4-5GB of RAM is plenty enough to work with, but what about the GPU? Correct me if im wrong, but isn't that memory shared with the GPU as well. Which limits it even more. Many of the games today easily use all of the memory that is dedicated to your video card.
@ariabed next gen consoles arn't so "next gen" sadly. Developers have about 4GB of memory to work with. I believe this is shared memory for both the GPU and regular RAM. Compare that to your average PC that has 8GB of DDR3 RAM, and depending on your GPU, also have 1-2GB of VRAM.
@stage4saiyan stuff like this requires a more demanding machine. These games are still being developed on last gen...and in terms of the age of tech, the 360 and ps3 are the equivalent of a 1940s auto mobile. Having stuff being pre-existing on another part of the map with things going on there even though the area is not loaded requires alot of extra RAM...and alot of that memory is needed for objects within your "cell" area.
Already on the next gen consoles you can see pop-in issues, suggesting they are struggling with memory issues. Its kind of sad that developers only have about 4GB worth of memory to work with for games on a freaking next gen console. I believe this includes both VRAM and normal DDR RAM. Compare that to your average PC that has 8GB of DDR3 RAM and 1-2GB worth of VRAM
@hoyholyhoy I sort of agree with you on skyrim. The NPCs just wonder around aimlessly, mods like Interesting NPCs and other NPC mods can make them more interesting though. The thing that makes the world feel like an actual place is the environments and the atmosphere. This is something I felt Watch Dogs really lacked. It lacked a sort of atmosphere.
Im not sure what was the last GTA you played, but I think Rockstar did a good job at trying to capture a living city in GTA V, there were people going around doing their own thing in different part of the cities. There is also only soo much you can do with AI in a game such as in GTA and in open world games. Developers are limited with the amount of resources the games have to offer.
