After watching the game a bit a few things stick out to me. There is some great detail in the city, everything from the residential to downtown, be nice to simply just explore.
-The draw distances on the console are terrible! It might of been this one scenario, but on the xbox one, the draw distance was litterally about 500 feet until objects faded into a "fog"
-Framerate is also pretty bad, especially when driving. Soo much for this "next gen" power.
@Death_Masta187 I agree, just look at most the games that offer mod tools? It retains a healthy playerbase for years. I still play Team Fortress 2, and most people still play it daily than most COD games on PC. Compare this to the recent BF games or COD, and the game drastically drops in numbers in a matter of months, and a year later they all jump ship to the next game in the line up.
@Jabass Tell me a game that makes life in the city feel realistic and that is an open world sandbox with smart AI? I must of played a different game because I think they did the countryside well in GTA V, it wasnt just empty space.
As many have said, RTS games don't go well on consoles for obvious reasons (Controls). There are also other reasons why they work best on PC, and its not graphics...Its the overall complexity as well as its mods and game types players create for these games that make them great. Just look at what warcraft 3 did to gaming with its Defense of the Ancients. You will most likely will never be able to see stuff like that with RTS games on consoles. Modding has already been stripped out of gaming enough over the years thanks to developers mostly focusing on consoles.
RTS games don't go well with a controller...also one reason why RTS games are often popular and people keep on playing them is because of mod support. Imagine games like Warcraft 3 or Starcraft without mods and the custom games people had made.
125 Watts? That is actually quite low compared to PC lol. I think my card at minimum requires about 600 watts, though im sure it doesn't use that much.
@Phooey442 Two words. Mod support. The game might be mediocre to you, but many tend to disagree. Finding there isn't much to do in the single player portion or online? Download some mods that make things a bit more interesting.
GTA Online had some great potential...Sadly though it seems like the last gen consoles really are holding the game back. I got sick of the constant loading, the pop-in issues and connectivity issues. If we could actually see it released on PC already, might be able to get potential out of it with mod support and the like.
