forced online is fair enough for multiplayer etc.. but not constantly - we need control over what we purchase, just like how I can turn off the service/data of my cellphone, and still use it
@jmace1 I agree.. it reminds me of equality :) it's just not right, and there are fine lines that microsoft is crossing such as privacy, data mining, new 'fees' for activations and probably a fee for cloud access, killing the used games market .. it's out of control - gamers should unite and reject this unfairly treatment
it's not about enjoyment anymore, as it is choking money out of us
@malokevi definiately more interested in an indepth conversation, with all points included..
but more or less, while your able to afford it, and plan to enjoy it regardless of privacy issues, I certainly can't - I don't completely disagree with always on, but there are negatives there too - I can't afford the bandwidth and whatnot.. I don't PC gamining for that reason as well - I want to play used games at an affordable price, and with consistent quality
while I also agree that xbox has a better Overall package, and psx4 has better hardware and friendlier 'stance' towards gamers.. I just don't see myself being part of this new generation - I really want to be, but it's out of my bounds - and for manyt people as well
hard drive space is limited, especially if you let others play Their own games on your console, and again bandwidth .. and I'd love to see the future of Kinect, but since most developers dont bother .. I know it's potential, but it falls short consistently.. therefore atm, logically, it's an added cost that should probably have been optional
.. anyway, I hope to have a better discussion with you eventually
and I hope you understand that this is negative to most users who play used games such as myself - too many fees (to which, yes I have a job, but also a child, and bills, and whatnot)
@ry0uz same, I switched from playstation to microsoft, but now.. they have directed targeted my place in the market and made it difficult for me to enjoy gaming
I suppose now.. that we are required to fully read the terms of services, and enjoy privacy invasion, before we can play
@ry0uz I agree, just trying to understand how someone could possibly support microsoft at this particular point in time, with all the information pointing to as many negatives as positives
