nope just hypocrisy. When one side does something that is considered politically unseemly the other side will make a show of it. Then when both sides have done it neither can talk about it, and that's how things become okay to do in Washington. No. Things become okay in Washington when nobody pays attention. Complete transparency to our corrupted government now would get reduce that. Make a law that would force government officials to explain publicly on how and why they voted on bills.

Indiana did this recently. I don't think it applies to walking down the street, but all restraunts and bars are now off limits.

Wait, private establishments can't choose. It is just outright banned? A joke if true. Wikipedia has a page on where smoking is banned in what states. It should be up to the owners. At least it's not a federal law. But that's nothing to celebrate.
