I have been reading tons of threads where MS fans claim that 360s game library is just so much better then the competitions and I think people are mixing up quantity with quality.  Here are the 360s top 20 games.

Gears of War - Great Exclusive

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Multiplat

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter - Multiplat

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas - Multiplat

Perfect Dark Zero - Exclusive

Call of Duty 3 - Multiplat

Burnout Revenge - Multiplat

Dead or Alive 4 - Exclusive

Project Gotham Racing 3 - Exclusive

Call of Duty 2 - Multiplat

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 - Multiplat

Kameo: Elements of Power - Exclusive

F.E.A.R. - Multiplat

Alien Hominid HD - On PC flash game

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Double Agent - Multiplat

Rockstar Games presents Table Tennis - Exclusive

Dead Rising - Exclusive

Need for Speed Most Wanted - Multiplat

Worldwide Soccer Manager 2007 - Multiplat

Viva Pinata - Exclusive

Of these 20 games only Gears of War, Perfect Dark Zero, Dead or Alive 4, Project Gotham Racing 3, Kameo: Elements of Power, Rockstar Games presents Table Tennis, Dead Rising, and Viva Pinata are exclusive.  Are these the games that MS fans believe is the reason their console is better and worth purchase over all others.  I am not doubting that some of those games are pretty good and one of them is a freakin great game but I dont see such a "superior" gaming library that MS fans portray.

The truth is the PS3 and 360 share alot of good games.  If these exclusives or the ones to come appeal to you then It makes sense to buy a 360 over a PS3 but I dont think these games justify the snobbyness of MS fans in SW.  When MS fans claim that the 360 is a gaming machine 1st and the PS3 is a blu ray player 1st, I dont think they truly know what their exclusives really are.

Javy03

I will object with one basic thing, 360 is best from March and ahead, starting with Shivering Isles PS3 does not get, Mass Effect in May, Two Wordls too, Blue dragon, Bioshock, Elveon this summer !!!, Lost Odyssey, Too Human, Eternal Darkness, Circle of Doom, Overlord late 2007, Fable 2, Cry On, Infinite Undiscovery, Ninja Gaiden 2 early 2008, Fallout 3, Kotor 3, project Offset late 2008 etc etc

What we played up to now, was simply the appetiser, and those are a fraction of full 360 list of titles coming, but still what we play now is stunning, games like Viva Pinata, Kameo, Gears, Lost Planet destroy any other next gen title i can think of
The 360 is cleaning house on the competition!

Gears - 4 million to only 10 million people.  That's huge!   There are too many great games for this thing!!!

The wii has wii sports and the ps3 has GOWII, a ps2 game!!!!!   "I'm going to buy a PS3!  Dude, you got to get God of War 2, too!!!!11111"

Ah well, at least you can go to weather.com on the wii,  and can run linux on the PS3.

MavsFan2007
right now. wii and the ds are close behind. xbox 360 is a solid console though.

Wii might get even in numbers, but never in games sold per machine

Yes that looks like THE diablo clone, but the company behind it only means it will go much much deeper than that

The Wii's third major RPG is finally here!
March 14, 2007 - Koei met with members of the Japanese press in Tokyo today to unveil a new, original RPG for the Wii. Titled Opoona, this game is being developed by Japanese development house Arte Piazza (previous work on Dragon Quest VII and the PS2 remake of Dragon Quest V) for Japanese release this summer.

The game's title is taken from the main character's name. Opoona is the son of a Cosmo Guard, a warrior that protects the peace in the universe. One day, he's out with his family on a space trip, and gets involved in an accident. His parents are killed, and he finds himself separated from his brother and sister.

Your goal in the game is to help Opoona find his siblings. Opoona starts his adventure on the planet of Landroll, which is being terrorized by demos known as the Dark Rogues. The people of Landroll reside in sealed residential areas, and those who dare step outside face threat of attack.

Part of the game has players experiencing daily life in one of these residential areas. You'll have to take on jobs in order to live properly. The game includes over twenty jobs, ranging from professional detective work to a part time job at a fast food restaurant. Performing jobs increases Opoona's stats, improves his relationship with townfolk, and also opens up new areas of the game world.

This isn't just another simulation game, though. The game includes a storyline that's split into chapters. As one would expect of an RPG, you'll have to explore the dangerous fields surrounding the residential areas and face off against enemies in battle.

The game's "Active Bon Bon Battle System" makes use of a few of the system's motion sensing capabilities. Opoona has a ball on his head called the Energy Bon Bon. You attack your enemies by tossing this ball. To toss the ball, you hold back on the nunchuck's analogue stick, then swing the nunchuck in the direction you want to toss. Koei noted that the entire battle system can be controlled with the nunchuck, so players can lay down as they play.

As you advance in the game, you'll eventually rescue your sister Paullina and your brother Copoona. These two can then be used in battle. Paullina has two balls on her head instead of one. Copoona has his Energy Bon Bon below him (he doesn't have feet, unlike his brother and sister), which apparently gives him better magic capabilities.

At today's unveiling event, Koei introduced some of the staff members of team Opoona. From Arte Pizza, Shintarou Mashima is producing the project, with direction by Yukiko Sugimura. The aural side of the project is being overseen by Hitoshi Sakimoto, who previously worked on Final Fantasy XII and Vagrant Story.

Dragon Quest producer Yuji Hori was at the event as well. While not having a role in the game's development, he's the one who got Arte Piazza and Koei talking following last year's E3. At that time, Arte Piazza had already started development on the game, but was without a publisher.

Since they went with Koei, we hope to be able to share details on a US release for this title in the near future.
Sounds good.

Care to name those other 2 ...major ... rpg's, because CC2 and DQ are jokes, not rpg's, the only one i would ever buy would be that 2D one, with the dragons, Fire Emblem, that does seem like a true rpg
Honestly..
I am surprised to say but it looks like the 360 has hands down the best lineup of RPGs for 2007..
With Final Fantasy and WhiteKnightStory both due out sometime in 2008.. looks like the ps3 basically has nothing coming out..

what console can top big hitters like Mass Effect,Blue Dragon, lost odyssey,Two Worlds,Eternal Sonata, shivering Isles..

The 360 is no longer a "shooters" only kind of console..
It has tons of RPGs coming out.. some nice platformers like the new Banjo game..
Just about every genre you can think of, you will be getting it on the 360 in 2007
RocKtheCasbaH

The 360 has a much broader games line up than the old xbox. I wish it had a game like God of War or Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance though. Ninety Nine Knights is poo.

Come on, 360 DOES NOT need games like Baldur's gate Dark Alliance, when it has Circle of Doom and a host other RPG's, even Too Human is promised to be a diablo clone in space, which is FAR more appealing than Hellgate

UNIQUENESS but, but Wii graphics / games sucks!1! THAT IS DEBATABLE. OPINIONS. EVERYBODY HAS ONE, IMAO PS3 / 360 GAMES SUCK 2 ,THAT DOESNT MEAN IS TRUE. graphics are THE most important aspect of this next generation. That is, if you are a shallow / hollow dork. 360 / PS3 MAIN SELLING POINT IS THE SAME = BOTH PERFECTLY CAPABLE OF "ENHANCED NEXT GEN GRAPHICS " ( OR WATERED DOWN UE3 GRAPHICS, DEPENDING YOUR KNOWLEDGE ) AND A PUNNY INCREASE OF THE OUPUT RESOLUTION ( im looking at you 360 sub-720p upscaled games) AND THATS IT. OH, AND $400 AND $600 PRICES. but, but THE 25fps next genz graphics / games rulex!1 RAINBOW SIX VEGAS? 360 CAN DO IT. YES. PS3. CAN DO IT.YES. PC CAN DO IT BETTER. EVEN A LAPTOP CAN. GEARS?. THE SAME. NOW LETS LOOK AT ANY WII GAME. CAN 360 DO IT..? NO CAN PS3 DO IT..? NO CAN PC DO IT..? NO CATCH MY DRIFT? weather you like it or not it's completely irrelevant. even if you think wii games are garbage / graphics suck thats it's completely irrelevant to the subject. BECAUSE OF THIS, THE WII IS UNIQUE AND THE ONLY NEXT GEN / NEW GEN CONSOLE. PERIOD.machitocaliente

Wii does have awfull graphics, the worst the world has seen for years, even a 5 year old pc does better than that garbage, and that is not ..taste or ..debatable, that is just the hard fact any non-blind creature could tell
Age of Decadence is ultra indie RPG.

With pathetic graphics, but it's bassicaly designed solely with "modern RPGs suck like hell, Oblivion is utter crap, consoles are killing RPGs and Bioware is nonsense" philosophy (bassicaly RPGcodex thinking :) ) and if it delivers on the gameplay promises...then wow...I won't mind the 2000-like visuals :) read about it here: http://www.irontowerstudio.com/press.htmVDweller

Quite a description.

I would rather have that interaction in an immersive 3D world though, 2D top down just kills it

I have never in my 10 years of gaming ever seen a console not sell out of pre-orders.... Sony will have to drop the price or sales will continue to lag...vistamanV5
