So what's the release date? Because I've been wanting to go through this beauty again, but if there's a "new" experience available, I'd rather do that.
Two men are having a conversation at a mutual friend's party. They have never met
"Dude, that game looks amazing, I saw my sister's boyfriend playing it a couple days ago and I have to wait until my next paycheck to get it. Pretty stoked."
"I just beat it last night, why don't I give it to you tomorrow because I'm dying to talk about the ending."
"Sounds great, you'd let me do that?!"
"Absolutely!...wait...shit..."
"What?"
"It's on Xbox One...wanna be Xbox Live friends?"
"You REALLY MEAN IT?! <3"
"Totes, brother!"
(They embrace)
-- Maybe that's what Microshaft is hoping to achieve. Otherwise, that's complete goddamn nonsense.
@Thanatos2k @LeviHarris Man, the pessimism of the internet is astounding. It should come as no surprise that licensed games are going to suck. Hence X-men. Too Human...I wish I knew what the hell happened there. Should have been great. Regardless, have a little faith that an independent IP that isn't tied to a movie release or a licensed product that's rushed to market to cash in one one thing or another has the POTENTIAL to be good. The way everyone is shitting on this after seeing just a glimpse of it is like hearing you have a tumor and not waiting to listen if it's benign or malignant and automatically assuming you're going to die.
@Thanatos2k @LeviHarris I do, actually. And the original Legacy of Kain still has one of the most well-crafted, adult stories to date. The gameplay mechanics and storytelling of Eternal Darkness were superb and unique. The only real tarnishing they have in this "rich history" you speak of is Too Human. Which, I can completely agree, was garbage.
I'm surprised more people aren't excited about this news. This means we'll probably get to actually play the spiritual successor to one of the Gamecube's best games. Gamers win in my opinion.
Oh thank god I won't lose any money I spent on friends lists and achievements. Who cares if I'm losing an investment of $500+ for DLC, Arcade games and Games On Demand. Thanks MICROSOFT!!!
Couldn't have said it better myself. I'll keep my judgements and decisions until I see what they have on offer post E3, but it's looking more and more like I'll be switching back to Sony.
