New in Libby-Land!

Hi everyone! :)

Its been a while since I blogged last so I thought I would just give you an update on how everythings going.

With regards to my pregnancy, the morning sickness has settled down a little bit now, I'm having the strangest cravings (lettice at 2am, or fudge brownies at breakfast), and am also getting fatter which is no surprise considering I'm nearly at 4 months. Either that or my love of brownies is beginning to show. :D Also I've been getting more and more tired so hubby has taken a few days off workthis week to help out with the girls, I might hire help when he returns because the closer the due date the more tired I get.

I've also been finalising details for Ella's christening in October which several family members are coming over for (Amy and Dave, my brother and his girlfriend, my parents), and also my grandma is flying in from Wales so she doesn't have to travel as far as everyone else to see her great-grandaughter get christened.

Also, Amy made me a beautiful banner for my signature, it's a Lost banner of my fav couple Sawyer and Kate. I love it!

So that's all that is new in Libby-land!

Love Libby,

xox.

9 Months

Hi everyone! :)

So I went to see the GP today, he gave me a due date:6th of February. Making me according to tickerfactory, just over 3 months pregnant. Furtherer along than first thought.I thought I might start one of those little countdown things to put on my blog like Amy did for her wedding.

To answer Shana's question, we generally find out the sex around the 4-5 month mark, that way the doctor can tell for sure, and not guess. We don't care what we have, girl or boy, as long as it's healthy. I know thats what every mother says, but she generally does mean it! :D

And Baby Makes Five

Hi everyone!

My hubby and I are delighted to announce that we are offically expecting our 3rd child. I made the discovery about 5 days ago on Thursday, and made Amy swear she wouldn't tell you all, so I could have the pleasure!

What I thought was a bad stomach bug I caught in Malaysia wouldn't go away, I realised I was displaying the proper pregnancy symptoms and took a test and bingo! Pregnant. I'm going to see the doctor tomorrow, great bloke who took care of Claire a few months back, he'sa G.Pand also happens to have specialities in Paediatrics and OB/GYN to find out how far along I am. By my estimate, I think I'm around the 2 month mark, but I'll let him tell me that!

Everyone in my family and hubby's family are so happy, we're already talking baby names with them! So will this time round be a boy, or are we going to have a 3rd daughter? Only time will tell, but I intend on finding out before the due date!

Be well everyone!

The One With The Wedding

Hi everyone!

I see that Amy has already put up a blog about the wedding, so I thought I would give my take getting to Malaysia and then eventually work my up to the big day.

Our first family holiday was wonderful overall. It started off a little bit scary with the Glasgow bombings and all.

My girls were so good on the long 10+ hour flight to Kuala Lumpur from Zurich. We were seated behind a family with one girl and one boy, both were probably around the ages of 4-6. They were fussy the whole flight, screaming, crying, playing with each other very loudly, I hardly blamed the other passengers for giving the parents who did nothing about their out of control childrena dirty look and rolling their eyes. I'm sure all passengers would've appreciated ear plugs that flight! But my girls... what wonders they were. Claire sat quietly, watching a little TV, colouring in her drawings and then she slept on my lap for a couple of hours. The only time she became a nuisance when she insisted I accompany her to the toilets. Ella cried only once, and then nodded off to sleep.

When we arrived in Kuala Lumpur, we waited for our next flight to Kota Kinabalu (or final destination). At this point the girls were getting a bit cranky and tired, so was Adrian and I. But we survived without harming each other.

Our first day was spent by the pool, I took Ella and Claire into the pool, both wearing floaties for protection. They both enjoyed that, Claire was constantly making Adrian and I take her back into the pool. Amy and I decided to take Claire to the beach one afternoon, which was directly by the pool. Claire was just fine walking around the shallow part of the water while we closely observed. Then Claire came running out the water screaming her little head of. We were quick to discover she had been stung by a jellyfish. Luckily the lifeguard knew what to do in these situations, so Claire was alright in the end.

Thats all for now. Will try to blog againsoon.

London Calling!

Hi everyone! :)

It's been so long since I've talked to everyone, how is everyone?

Right now I'm in the lovely city of London with Adrian, Claire and Ella. We arrived yesterday and we leave tomorrow morning as we make our way to sunny Malaysia!

I suppose you all heard about the car bomb at Glasgow airport. That was only a couple of days before we were scheduled to leave, so it was quite scary taking the girls near the place. We survived though, and now here we are in London. I have managed to get brief internet access for the time being, the keyword therebeing brief.

So I bid you farewell for now. We are very excited about the wedding, and will fill you in on all the details if Amy doesn't do so first!

Changes, Changes

Hi everyone! :)

Claire and Kim had their playdate yesterday afternoon, they got on like a house on fire, so well that Claire asked if she could go over to Kim's house this afternoon, which is when I go to have coffee with Sandra. Look forward to it.

I have madea lot of changes to our flights to Malaysia in July. We leave Glasgow a few days earlier on the 3rd now, to spend a couple of days in London and then depart on the 6th of July. We're going via Swiss International which I've heard good reports about, so its encouraging.

Thats all thats new today. Have a great day everyone.

Claire's Birthday, the new Neighbours & a Quiz!

Hi everyone! :)

As most of you know, it is Claire's 5th birthday today. Yes, this time 5 years ago I had a painful C-Section but such joy came out of it all! Enough of that...

So the past week Claire has been an excited wonder! Searching the house high and low (well not so high) for her presents and keeps reminding me it's her birthday. She has been driving me slightly mad actually. She woke hubby and I up at the crack of dawn this morning, and as I now learnt, don't joke to a young child that they're not getting any presents. Always ends in disaster. But anyway, we gave her the presents in the kitchen while I made everyone a special breakfast which consisted of pancakes and fruit.

Then hubby went to work, Ella fussed, and Claire went to play with her new toys. I logged onto tv.com and saw Amy's birthday blog for Claire, and practically had to drag Claire away from her toys to let her see it. BTW Amy, Claire says she can't wait to see you in July! :)

So soon, I'm going to take Claire out to town for lunch with Ella in tow, which should be interesting.

In other news, we have new neighbours! A lovely family of 3. The mother whos name is Sandra, came round to introduce herself and her kids. She has2 kids and is divorced from her husband. She's got one girl whos name is Kim (also 5 years old) and a 7 year old boy called Travis. Their lovely really, and I organised a playdate for Kim and Claire on the weekend when Travis apparently has to go sport hunting (?),and also arranged for Sandra to come over for coffee. Generations of Baby Photos

Hi everyone! :)

I thought I would share some more photos of my little girls...

This photo is Claire at the beach back in Australia a few days before we left for Scotland.

Ella. I can't believe how much she's grown.

Another of Ella, not long after she was born.

And what's this?...

Amy as a baby! I found this in one of the photo albums yesterday. The quality stinks, I actually took a picture of a photo. Bizarre.

Our first Family Holiday

Hi everyone! :)

So I've finally booked our family's flights to Malaysia for Amy's wedding in July. It's very hard flying such a long way with a 6 month old baby and a 4 year old girl. Like long transfers, or getting back home at a bad time like 11pm at night. But we did find the perfect flights, but the price... ouch! It's not too much of a bother especially if it means the girls will be better of in the end.

On a brighter note, congrats to TV.COM user, Raven who has recently welcomed her second child, little girl Teresa. Congratulations Raven!
