Libby15 Blog

Been a long time

Hi everybody! :)

It's been a while since my last blog. I haven't been on this site in a while, been nearly 2 weeks. Phew!

We've been quite busy lately. Claire recovered from her cold, but she gave it to her daddy who was off work for 3 days because of it. So after caring for one sick child, I had to care for another... big child. But the horrible bug seems to have settled down now.

Then on May 10th it was hubbys birthday, so we relied on our neighbours which we had befriended to look after the girls while hubby and I had a night out on the town. It was a special night. He spent all day with the girls and then all night with his beloved wife! :D

I promise I'll try to log on more often but time seems to have a way with you when your a mother to two little girls. I don't know how you do it Rochelle!

See you guys later!

Good Morning! Remember Me?

Hi everyone! :)

I haven't blogged in such a long time, I'm wondering if you remember me. I have been coming on the site, and have commented on some of your blogs, but just haven't had the time to blog.

Claire's been sick lately, and Ella is going through this faze where she just won't sleep and is a fuss-pot! It's nothing too serious with Claire, just the cold, but she's been getting fevers and sore throats so as you can imagine, it's not much fun for her either. So, I've been on my toes constantly, feeding one or burping one, or taking ones temperature or throwing her dirty tissues in the bin. I'm just pretty lucky that I haven't come down with anything... yet.

BTW, can you believe Ella is 4 months now? Wow, they grow up fast! :D

Must leave it at that this morning. Have a great day everyone.

I'm Home!

Hi everyone! :)

I got home about 2 hours ago. It feels great, I got to hug my girls again, and give hubby a kiss!

The flight back was much more pleasant than over, although it was delayed 15 minutes, but it beats nearly being in a crash!

When I collected my luggage I went out and met hubby and the girls. Claire ran into my arms, and then hubby gave me a kiss, and handed me Ella who I swear, smiled at me. Aww! I think they missed me. I came back home, surprisingly the house was tidy. I gave the girls and hubby their presents, which they loved. Claire is playing with one of the toys I bought her now, Ella is asleep and hubby is in the garden. Everything is back to normal now.

I can't wait for my next holiday, when our whole family goes to Malaysia for Amy's wedding in July.

Love Libby,

xox.

PS. Missed you all! :)

One for the Books

Hi everyone! :)

I've had a lovely week in London with Allison, we got some great weather, and some not so good weather for the occasion, but generally was a lot of fun!

The flight over, now was that a story! We were closing in on our flight to Heathrow, when the plane dropped several feet. A lot more than usual! Thoughout the plane their was a lot of gasping and "Oh My God's" for the shock. Then the plane shook violently and it was actually quite scary. Then we dropped again, and everyone was worried we were about to crash! But we landed safely and thats all that matters.

Anyway in London, I was shopping on Oxford street, and visited all the tourist attractions your supposed to visit when your in London, like Big Ben and the London Eye etc.

On Friday night I rebelled and went to a club with Allison for the first time in over 5 years. I danced the night away and didn't get drunk, but had a good time!

My first night in London I was treated to a fish supper on Allisons balcony which has a wonderful view of London. We had a typical English breakfast this morning. Eggs, sausages, bacon, tomatos, everything you could think of!

So my holiday comes to an end tomorrow morning when I fly back to Glasgow to see my little darlings and gorgeous hubby meet me at the airport and then go home to our warm home. Hopefully this flight will be a lot better than the other.

Love Libby,

xox.

BTW, I took some photos of London, I should put them up sometime this week!

What's That? Freedom? Yep!

Hi everyone! :)

In just under an hour, I leave for an hours drive heading towards Glasgow airport for my flight to London. So this is just a quick blog to let you know I'm still here. It's morning here, and really cold, as I sit here with a strong cup of coffee.

I may not have time to catch up on all your blogs, sorry, but when I get back it'll be my top priority. I'll blog when I get to London, hopefully Allison will let me use her internet.

Until then...

Tag. I'm It!

Hi everyone! :)

Rochelle has tagged me!

Culinary- I got a big weakness for Italian food! Yummy! We had Italian neighbours while growing up, and they always brought us over a lasagne dish or some home-made tomato sauce. It was delicious! One day hubby and I hope to go on a romantic holiday to Italy after the girls have moved out... *sigh*

And also, CHOCOLATE. It became my best friend during my pregnancies, trust me.

Literary - I haven't read a grown up book in years. My life is filled with picture books which normally end in "And they lived happily ever after. The End." But I do like reading the Bridget Jones series.

Audiovisual - Well as you gathered I'm a proud Lost and ER addict. I spend my free time watching my DVD's or catching up on the latest gossip on the cast/storylines online. :)

Musical - Midnight Oil, The Beatles, The BeeGees, Maroon 5 are the bands which dominate my life, and I enjoy such individual acts like Janet Jackson, Madonna, Elton John, and whatever. Oh, and of course the 70's and 80's music plays a big part in my life, since I own every "Hits of the 80's" CS there is for sale!

Celebrity - Pretty much the actors from my favourite shows. I go online to find out what's new in the daily lives of my favourite celebs which include Goran Visnjic, Maura Tierney, Evangeline Lilly and Marcia Cross! :D

I'm going to London!

Hi everyone! :)

I return to this site to find a lot has changed. It also takes longer to load, which is annoying.

Next week (Tuesday) I'm going to London by myself (what's that? Freedom? Yep!) to meet up with a good friend I used to work with. She moved to London 2 years ago, and since we're much closer location wise, we decided to meet up. Hubby will be looking after the girls for the 5 days I'm gone, on the condition I bring back them all presents, which I always do!

But anyway, my friend who's name is Allison, lives in a lovely apartment in North London I think. She's going to take me to all the best shops, and hot spots in London, and I can't wait! It's going to be fun to have some time to myself, something I've had so little of the past few... well years.

Hopefully I'll be able to get on and blog again before then. If not, have a Happy Easter everyone!

Love Libby,

xoxo

*Sneeze* *Sniff* *Faint?*

Hi everyone! :)

Not much for you today, except that I have come down with the flu, and feel terrible. Hopefully the girls understand mummy can't run after them as she normally does, don't think they will though. Excuse me while I reach for my 2nd tissue box. I can actually feel myself getting a fever. Maybe I can convince hubby not to go to work by pretending to faint. That should do the trick.

I should probably get some more rest before the little ones wake up.

More than a Cold Feeling

Hi everyone! :)

Well I'm finally back home, enjoying the company of my girls, while hubby is at work.

Its been snowing the last few days. Not too much, but still very, very cold. Guess I'm not used to this weather yet. Back home (Austalia) I heard their getting nice warm weather. I'm rather jealous!

So a couple of days ago I got back from Wales. I was helping out my grandma. She's very freil, so I was reluctant to leave her, but my mum and dad are still in Wales, so it's good to know there's support for her nearby. I told her she was always welcome to holiday in Scotland and stay with us. But I think she may go to Australia first.
The funeral was very very sad and gloomy. The whole family turned out for the event. Reminded me of Brothers and Sisters for a moment. One of my grandma's neighbours kindly offered to look after Claire and Ella while we were at the funeral, and they were on their best behaviour which I was very proud of.

That's all from me today. I'll see you all around the forums!
