Grandad Bill

Hi everyone! :)

Some very sad news today. My grandad Bill has died in Wales suddenly. They believe it was a heart attack. All my family are going to the funeral in Wales, including myself, hubby, Claire and Ella. So I won't be on this site for quite a while. I'm staying as long as possible to help out my grandmother, so I'm guessing 3 weeks.

Bill was my mother's father. He was a well respected man. He fought for Britain in WWII against the Nazi's. He will very well be missed.

Claire has only met him once, and Ella obviously has never met him. I don't want my girls to go to the funeral, it wouldn't be nice for them at all, especially at such a young age.

I hope you understand why Amy and myself are upset.

Until next time friends,

Love Libby,

xoxo.

Ella Bella

Hi everyone! :)

How is everyone today? I'm hardly awake, it's way too early in the morning for me! The house is still asleep, but for some reason woke up a little too early for my liking.

So, I took a photo of Ella last week. The photo thats been damanded:

Isn't she getting big? Her hairs also going blonde like Claire's and mine, getting lighter. I knew she would be a blonde!

Smokers produce more baby girls

Hi everyone! :)

I was just looking up some news when I came across this:

Parents who smoke both before and around the time of conception are more likely to have female babies, it is claimed.

The male to female ratio of children has declined substantially over the past few decades and it has been suggested environmental pollution may be to blame.

It is claimed toxic environmental agents could affect males and the male reproductive system.

The latest study suggests smoking may either damage male sperm cells or jeopardise the chance of the male foetus implanting in the uterus, or both.

Hmm...

Anyway, so how is everyone?

I've had a great week. We went out and explored the town properly. Met a few locals and befriended a couple. We;re getting settled in.

I went out and bought myself a yoga ball:

Wanting to lose a couple of kilos. It's very hard trying to lose this:

Claire has discovered the Peanuts gang, and loves them, hence my new icon.

That's all from me today.

Busy Bee!

Hi everyone! :)

Sorry for not being around much this week. We've been very busy!

I taught Claire how to ride the horses, and she's found a new passion. It ws fantastic, gave me a chance to do some horseriding too. Amy and I got lessons when we were teenagers, and eversince then I haven't really had the chance to do much.

It's very hard to believe, but Ella is about 2 months old now. It seems like only yesterday that she as a tiny tot coming out of the hospital, now she's getting bigger, and even cuter, if thats possible!

That's all for now. Must go and catch up on all your blogs.

Valentine's and Birthday

Hi everyone! :)

Sorry for not being around the past few days, we've finished off our un-packing and can now enjoy living in a new country. Most importantly, Claire and Ella's rooms are finished, and now they've settled. Our room is pretty much done, except for being a little messy. But the whole house is complete. We've been working non-stop to finish it off.

So, on Valentine's Day I was treated from the hubby and my girls. I got a bunch of flowers, a heart necklace, and a beautiful card, I got hubby a card and flowers too, so our house is mobbed with flowers! Then on the 15th it was my birthday! Another round of presents. Hubby had hid some presents from my wonderful family in Australia that they sent of with him in his bags, and Claire and Hubby made me breakfast in bed. Ella didn't cry as much as normal on the day, so I figured that was her present to me.

Amy made me a great Lost banner which I'm going to set as my profile banner. Check it out!

Speaking of which, I managed to download all the episodes I've missed, so now I'm caught up to where I should be in the UK.

I better wrap this up and go check what I've missed at all the forums I post at.

Tip To Toe!

Hi everyone! :)

We're really starting to like Scotland now. Despite the cold, freezing weather, it's great. Claire adores the horses, hubby and I think she's a vet in the making. We're even considering adopting a dog for her.

There wasn't much snow at first, but now their forecasting a Blizzard for high parts of Scotland. The other day Aberdeen got 14 degrees celcius and we got 12, so it was too hot for snow. But a big change will take place over the next few days. Claire's looking forward to the first lot of heavy snow, she's probably keen on bulding a snow man or throwing snowballs at her dad and mum.

Not much has been happening. Settling in, un-packing etc. Hubby hasn't started his new job yet. Not for another 3 weeks.

That's all for today. It's a bit too early in the morning for me!

Where do I start? Oh, and I'm Back!

Hi everyone! :)

I'm thrilled to be back here! The last week as been so incredibly busy that it's frustrating! I'm going to go through all the details, just to give you an idea just how frustrating it was.

So where do I start? Well it was late last week, on a Wednesday night, very late. 11pm to be exact. Hubby and I were finishing off packing luggage etc, the girls has been sleeping since 6pm. Our flight as at 4am the next morning. So come midnight, we woke the girls up, dressed them, gave them food and away we went on our way to the airport. 2 hr drive from where we are.

Anyway, this was the first time Claire had ever been at an airport or on a plane. So we gave her a window seat, because we heard that that makes flying easier. How? I'll never know. The long lines at check in made Claire and Ella both very frustrated. Ella started crying, and Claire was trying to sit down on the luggage! In the end, hubby had to carry her! Geez. At Perth International Airport, they have a deck where you can watch planes take off and land. So we took them up there, and Claire asked, and I'm not kidding, she asked: "Does God hold the planes in the air?" Huh? Hubby explained to her that it was a machine, that was very good and advanced, she didn't understand.

Time to board the plane, Claire was ever so excited, so was I a little. I love flying. As we got on the plane, with a excited four year old and me holding a baby in my arms, we got looks from childless travellers who sighed and rolled their eyes. Yes, we got the looks. But did they feel foolish afterwards! Claire stared out the window while we took off. I sat next to her and hubby looked after Ella for the 5 hour flight to Singapore. The staff of Singapore Airlines were ever so nice to us.

We stopped at Singapore, had an hours break, then caught a British Airways flight to London. But this was the flight from hell. 13 hours and bumpy most of the way, Claire puked when we neared London. Yuck! We had another break for 2 hrs, then caught another plane to Edinburgh, which was even worse. We had to circle Edinburgh for 45 minutes because of traffic. *Sigh* At one stage we went through a cloud and the plane dropped a little, and our stomachs went with it. But it wasn't much, and is normal when going through cloud. We got off th plane and drove to our home town.

So after all the moans and groans, here I am in my new house, which is a bombsite right now because of the boxes everywhere. It's lovely, so peaceful. It's in a deserted area, and we have horses too, which Claire loves!

I'll leave you with that statement. Until next time...

Our last Australia Day *sob*

Happy Australia Day to all Australian's out there!

Today was another busy day. We couldn't really enjoy the holiday, we still had a lot of packing to do, we're nearly finished. We leave in just over a week. The change is scary, and I don't consider myself Wonder Woman Suz and Rochelle! :D Just perhaps maybe a risk taker. I'm in charge of the girls, while hubby does the rest in the process of travelling. It is quite nerve racking. Claire has never flyed before, and I can see myself getting looks of childless people on the plane as we board. I used to be the person giving the looks, now it's the other way around!

Tonight, Claire and I are meeting up with family at the fireworks. Hubby has offered to stay home with Ella, he doesn't like fireworks. Should a fun night out fo us. I told her I would treat her to an ice-cream while we're there, maybe so I can have one as well!

Have a nice night everyone. I'll try to blog at least once more before we move.

Losing It

Hi everyone! :)

Don't be mistaken by the title, no I'm not losing it mentally, but physically, I can see the kilos coming off already. And from doing what? Nothing! No exercise or diets or anything? Must be the stress of being a new mum to two young girls, one a newborn. So now my fat is starting to go away. I don't think I want to go back to being as skinny as I was before I had Ella, but curves are gorgeous, so that's what I'm aiming for! Plus their much more healthy and attractive.

Hubby has made me so super-dooper happy today by agreeing to look after the girls for a WHOLE DAY while I go shopping with Amy tomorrow. I'm anticipating a new wardrobe and shoes, and something for hubby for appreciating me and not seeing me as his baby machine.

Right now our house is so un-tidy with boxes everywhere. In about two weeks we're moving to Scotland, so we've prepared. We've already sent some of our belongings overseas to our house which my uncle is living in until we get there. Thats so kind of him! Our house is nearly empty. It'll be sad to say goodbye to Australia. That's all today.
