Nice looking group of games maybe heading our way. I would love Castlevania Dracula X but since its on the PSP I don't see it coming to the VC. I see a better looking Lifeforce in there, loved that game.dvader654

I don't know, Ithink there's still a pretty good chance of Dracula X coming out on VC now. If Konami likes money, then they'd be stupid to not release one of the most popular games on VC. I'd much rather have the original sprite-based version than the updated 3D one.

I suppose they could always release the original version on DS instead. Either way, I'd buy it. :)

Normally I wouldn't consider a third-party controller, especially from Mad Catz or Pelican. But Thrustmaster makes a lot good quality PC controllers (from what I've hear), so I don't have a problem trying theirs out.

Logitech is working on Wii controllers as well, so maybe they'll have a better CC.

It is ugly, I agree, but I don't care as long as it works well.

How can you guys tell the D-pad sucks just by looking at a pic?

IGN has an article up on Thrustmaster's new and improved Clas-sic Controller for Wii. What's cool is that the controller also works with GC games and has built-in rumble! It's supposed to come out in October (U.S.) for $20.

I'm one of those who dislikes the offical Clas-sic Controller. It's just to small and awkward to hold for me. Hopefully this will suit me better.

[QUOTE="Mantorok"][QUOTE="gaminggeek"]

[QUOTE="SteelAttack"]Great music. Nice looking game. What is this game about?gaminggeek

I'm no NIGHTS veteren. I think a couple of kids are dreaming and you're like this clown that flies in their dreamworlds to cheesy excellent music :P

Well, based on that does this game really deserve it's own thread? I'm not sold at all on this if it's only claim to fame is flying through rings.

I'm the wrong person to ask that. NIGHTS vets should. I merely found myself posting info and had so much eventually, Idecided to dump it all in one thread :P It's the return of a nostalgic, clas-sic game for many people, so it's worth keeping an eye on.

The brilliance of NiGHTS gameplay is in its combo system. In NiGHTS, you fly on a rail through a 3D world collecting blue spheres, stars, and rings. This creates a combo string. Now there's only a limited amount of time in each level, so the object is to create a super long combo string that can last the entire level. What's really cool is that each level track loops back around to the begining, so (if there's enough time left) you can fly the level trackagain continuing your super combo string and racking up massive points. However, enemy attacks or missing items or rings can break your combo string. Also, in order for your combo points to be valid (and to finish the level track), you have to make it back to the begining of the level before time runs out. Mastering the level track layouts is key to super combos, and is the real fun of NiGHTS.

You also have other goals too like destroying Idea Chambers with 20 blue spheres and mid-Boss/final boss battles.

I should also mention that the original NiGHTS had 7 levels (Dreams worlds) with four level tracks and a mid-boss battle in each.

[QUOTE="GodModeEnabled"]I dont like the pricing on the games, however im interested in buying some as I want some more shoot em ups and I want to see what the neo geo was all about.PikaPichu

I agree. Charging $9 for those games is a bit much, considering how XBLA seems to be offering them for only $5.

I bet the decision went like this:

Suit 1: We need to find a price for our NeoGeo games for Virtual Console.

Suit 2: Hmm, 500 points?

Suit 1: No, that's the same price as NES games. NeoGeo is waaay more powerful than that system.

Suit 2: Yeah, that would be dumb. Well, SNES games go for 800, and N64 games go for 1000 pts. . .

Suit 1: Hmm, Neo Geo is more powerful than SNES, but not as powerfull as N64 . . .

Suit 2: We could just price our games between them at 900 points?

Suit 1: Effing Brilliant! Make is so.

It's looking great! Hopefully, it'll play as good as it looks. :) Take your time, Sonic Team. There's absolutely no reason to rush.

I wonder if they are going to include the date/clock feature that Christmas NiGHTS had where the games graphics and music changes depending on the time of year. It was supposed to be in the original NiGHTS, but they didn't have time to implement it before release; which is why we got Christmas NiGHTS instead.

Cool, I'll have to check it out later. :)

Looks like Matt's tearing into Nintendo for not having Wii voice chat too. Go get 'em, Matt!
