Super Mario Sunshine is better than SM64 (IMO). I love both games, but Sunshine had a quirky weirdness that I just adore. The whole Pilotwings-platformer gamplay was a ton of fun. SMS took everything that made SM64 great and improved upon them. I've played through Sunshine 5 times, and I'm very likely to replay it another 5 times in the future. So far, I've only completed SM64 twice. I can honestly say that Super Mario Sunshine is my second favorite Super Mario game, right behind the godly Super Mario World.

I can't wait until Super Mario Galaxy comes out. I'm as giddy as the N64 kid right now. :)

Thank God this game is getting some good reviews. I was getting worried when I saw the word "adventure" in the title.

I read a user review at another site that stated that all of the "talking" portions can be skipped just by pressing the "start" button. That'll work for me (I hate talking in Sonic games)! :)

I loved both of the Adventure games on the Dreamcast. They actually did a pretty good job of translating...I mean they were not perfect...I was just playing Mario64 a few weeks ago at the lake and that game is a little shakey as far as the controls and camera goes...Rayman 2 on the 64 was the same as far as weird camera at times...

I can respect that; I'm sure there's a lot of peoplewho liked those games.

I kinda liked Sonic Adventure back in '99 on DC, but I hated the whole "story" mode. The game was way too glitchy for me too. I couldn't stand SA2 at all; all that switchingbetween characters drove me nuts. Thankfully, I only rented that one. I agree with you on Rayman 2's camera, but I did enjoy playing that game on DC.

To me, Sonic games have to be (mostly) 2D, and preferably withouta forced story mode.

I thought Super Ghouls n Ghosts on the SNES was released on the VC - aren't they the same?Mantorok

Nope. Ghouls 'n Ghosts on Genesis/Mega Drive is a port of the original arcade game. Super Ghouls'n Ghosts is really more of a sequel to the original. It shares the same storyline and similar enviroments, but the levels layouts are completely different. Super GnG is also a ton harder.

I use Internet Explorer too. I use it because it is the most compatible web browser. I've had a lot of problems using Opera and FireFox in the past, so I stopped using them for the most part. Besides, IE 7.0 is far better than IE 6.0 was. :)

Hmm, I never played ESWAT. I'll have to check it out when it comes out in the U.S.

I'm pretty satisfied with a good 12-15 hour game as long as it has some solid replay value. For instance, I feel that Fable, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, and Riddick all had near-perfect length and replay value; I played each of those games four times, and I'm likely to replay them all again in the future. As long as I get at least one gameplay hour for every dollar I spend on a game, then I'm pretty happy.

Shorter 6-8 hour games are perfect rentals, though.

I love MK, but I won't buy this complete port from Genesis. I would rather play it on my Sega GenesisJack_de_Farro

It's not a port from the Sega Genesis. It's a port from the original (and vastly superior) arcade version. The Genesis and SNES versions had a bunch of backgrounds and characters missing that were in the arcade version. The DS UMK3 will include everything the arcade version had plus Puzzle Kombat and WiFi play.

^So your saying that Nintendo still would've created the Wii if they owned the console market to themselves this whole time?

Microsoft would've pushed online as far as they did if they were the only console out?

Gunraidan

Yes,because it would help differentiate their games from the thousands of others out there.

Xbox Live is the kind of service devs have wanted for years which is why they support it so highly compared to Sony and Nintendo's. An XBL-like service would've happened because the market (consumers) demand it.

As far as the Wii controller, Nintendo is a constant innovator. They are always looking for something new. Having a single console spec would not have stopped them from creating the motion controller because they are always looking to differentiate their products from everyone else. Look at all the stuff they released on NES back when they were the dominate console.
