No miss type.. is in Celsius. Even in stock speed, the temperature is the same as after overclock it. I have being using it for 6 months with that kind of temperature before i overclock it. I do not know whether I am getting a defective card or not as I already changed once about 6 months ago as the previous one failed to work suddenly.

I had a 8600n GT on my notebook... recently i overclock it a bit to higher speed and i getting slightly better fps in my games. I checked the temperature after the overclocking is same as before I did it ( 90C - 97C) under full load, so it is gonna damage my notebook? Anyway I overclock it from 475/950/400 to 515/1030/420.

My friend's pc somehow having a very weird problem that we have no idea how to solve it. This is the problem:

My friend has two pc , my friend wanted to try something so he take out the graphic card of the 1st pc to put into the 2nd pc. After finished trying, he put back the graphic card to the 1st pc but somehow there is no display on the screen anymore. So he took out again and put into the 2nd pc, and it works without problem.

So, i lend him my old graphic card and put into the first pc and it works. We tried again putting back its' origin graphic card again but there is still no display. We repeated many times and confirm that the graphic card slot and the graphic card both are not spoiled. We don't understand why it doesn't work anymore after taking out the graphic card and put it in again later.

I hope someone could help me with this problem. thank you.

If he can't afford even a 3850 or 9600, how can he afford any pc games?

EDIT: the 8600 would be better for gaming, but still far from good.

DGFreak

Actually not he can't, just he don't want to spend such money on pc. He is not a hardcore gamer and he don't mind playing with lower graphics settings :)

My friend want to buy a graphic card and he has two option which are the
Asus HD3650 TOP
Asus 8600GT (256mb ddr3)

He is in a budget, so other better cards like 3850, 3870, 8800, 9xxx he can't afford it. So he just wanna know which one is better in gaming.thanks
