For current processor, Crysis i played with 1152x768, everything high, no AA, running dx9, I only get around 25fps and will drop to 12fps when things get intensive.
Na dude its not worth it yet get a faster core 2 duo you will save money too http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115037artiedeadat40
oh, forgot to mention that my mother board is an older board, it only supports to 1066FSB processors. I would love to buy the new core2 duo processors if i could support it. But now I don't plan to change my board first as I am waiting boards that support PCI-E 2.0 to be common :).
Trilvester, could you let me know some of your games played and the frame rates? thanks
I did post a topic about a month ago asking about my current processor and people asking me to change to a core 2 duo E4700. However, i think changing to something higher would be better for future use. So, I considering either Core 2 duo E6600 or Q6600, but i heard Q6600 doesn't work as well as E6600 in games, is that true?
Intel Core 2 Quad processor in an LGA775 socket with a 1066 MHz system bus
Intel Core 2 Extreme processor in an LGA775 socket with a 1066 MHz system bus
Intel Core 2 Duo Processor in an LGA775 socket with a 1066 or 800 MHz system bus
Intel Pentium D Processor in an LGA775 socket with an 800 MHz system bus
Intel Pentium 4 Processor in an LGA775 socket with an 800 or 533 MHz system bus
Intel Celeron D Processor in an LGA775 socket with a 533 MHz system bus
I actually thought if the mobo have the compatible socket then would be all right.
pentium D 915 2.8GHz
2.5GB ram
Asus 9600 GT
So, i am wondering how big the difference would be in games if i change my processor to a Core 2 duo E6550. Because now i couldn't run the games with the expected frame rate so i doubt is my processor.

My PC doesn't have much component, just a regular pc with pentium D, 2gb ram, one 320GB harddisc and a dvd rom.
