For once I'll give some praise to TPTB at TV.com. I like the new set-up on the profile page. They finally have the show guides separated from the person guides and they also tell you how many guides you have. Much better than what we had previously.
The Lawless Years

Well, I picked up a new show guide I never really intended to pick up after a certain person was banned yesterday. It's The Lawless Years, a series that ran on NBC from 1959-61. It was a similar type show to The Untouchables in that it dealt with law enforcement's struggles against organized crime during the Prohibition Era. Unfortunately for The Lawless Years, it got overshadowed by The Untouchables and only lasted a total of 47 episodes. Also for the first time I'm editor of a show for which I've never viewed a single episode. Not one. Fortunately, the first season of The Lawless Years has been released on DVD. Now if only I owned a DVD player. Sometimes it doesn't pay to get outta bed.

Well, it was a day late and a dollar short, but I finally picked up the editorship I should have picked up yesterday--the legendary Mexican actor Alfonso Bedoya. He didn't need no stinkin' badges and I'd like to plant him on the staff's doorstep all decked out in pistols and his trademark gold sombrero just for fun.

The assclowns are at it again. I had six submissions pending yesterday and to gain a person editorship I had to have all of them moderated. What does the staff do? They only moderate two of my submissions. I'm telling anyone who will listen that this bunch just doesn't care. The higher you go in the rankings the worse you get treated around here.

On this the 62nd anniversary of D-Day here's an interesting fact about the battle--it occurred on the birthday of Lucie Rommel, wife of German forces commander Field Marshal Erwin Rommel. He was at their home in Germany intending to celebrate her birthday and had to be called back to the battlefield upon the onset of the invasion.

To paraphrase the immortal words of Slutney Spears, "Oops, they did it again." The Level 0 bug appears to have returned with a vengeance. Once again proving that the staff is either a bunch of lazy slugs or total incompetents. There is no third option. When the same bugs and glitches keep happening again and again and again it makes me wonder if the corporate honchos at CNET really know how screwed up things are on this site. Maybe they know and don't care on iota. One thing I've learned about TV.com is that just when things appear to be turning for the better you usually crash head on into the wall. Happy weekend staff. You've earned it.

Here it is nearly 8:00 p.m. EST and there hasn't been one single post in the forums by some newbie asking how he/she can get to Level 2. Not one. This truly amazes me. We seem to have been averaging at least 3 per day recently. Of course, the answer could be that almost no newbies registered on the site today. No new members, no stupid questions. In other news it appears as though The_Huntsman has decided to depart for TV Rage. He will be missed by many as he was one of the most loyal and active members of this site. I would join him except for the fact that TV Rage is mostly for fans of Buffy, Angel, and a bunch of dumb cartoons. If you're not a fan of those two pseudo-schlock horror shows or a bunch of damn cartoons it's a pretty pointless site. In the meanwhile, I've decided to soldier on at TV.com. It's a dog's life but someone has to do it.

Gadzoooks, look at all the new emblems I've received. Guess they weren't kidding when they said they had a bunch of new ones. Too bad they haven't done anything today with the 156 submissions I have pending. I am beginning to think they've rolled back the calendar and this is August 2005 instead of April 2006 and I'm a Ginsu Knife.
