There's a new generation of gamers that haven't experienced the heart-pounding difficulty of the first Mega Man games or the joy of finally killing Bowser in SM3 on the NES. I - for one - am glad that Nintendo is sticking to its roots by releasing games like this.

Forget the graphics. It's side-scrolling Super Mario action, those games are almost always ace.

Gamecube and the only reason is because the poor selection of games. But overall as a console I was impressed that it could actually produce some great graphics and the Wavebird is one of the best wireless controllers ive ever used. -supercharged-

I dunno. I was pretty impressed by the GC lineup of games. I guess it depends on what you were looking for in a system. After the FPS got boring on the XBOX, I moved to RPGs, but XBOX is dismal in this regard (offering only a handful). Looking back at the gamecube games and playing them on my Wii, I'm having tons of fun with dozens of games spanning several genres.

I think XBOX and PS2 worked really hard (and did a good job) at making GC owners feel like "kids". That, and a lack of good marketing, made the GC seem like crap.

Wii has only been out for a few months.  Sure I'm looking forward to more games for 360 and PS3, but wouldn't you say it's a little early to put the Wii on this list?Gamer46

Call it a hunch, but something tells me that this thread was made simply to rope in some "meh! I hated my GC and Wii! Sold it on my fake ebay account."

If someone said SNES or PS2, people would jump all over them, but it seems like GC and Wii are the "socially acceptable" consoles to hate on this site.

Learn to read idiot. I said that the Xbox 360 VGA cable is barely any better than SDTV because it upscales from 720P to a 16:10 resolution and has washed out colors.

Actually, his post was talking about plugging a console into a computer monitor using CONSOLE plugs and how it decreased the quality of the picture, which is correct, by the way. Do you get your jollies by typing YOU HAVE BEEN OWNED in caps all day long?
