Just a question as I'm not that familiar with the European leagues, is there a big difference between relegation and simply not making the playoffs?
I mean if a team isn't good enough, they don't even get to play in the post season. What's the difference?

Don't think this ever got answered. In most countries there is a pyramid system, several divisions (in England, Premiership is top, Championship, League 1, League 2, Conference, Ryman's league, Ryman's North and it's southern division then several others.) so in theory, a team is a pub league could one day be champions of England. Those top of their division and sometimes second and third, go up to the next level but those bottom (and sometimes second and third bottom) of a division go down to a lower one. These means less money, less prestige, a smaller fanbase, the best players leave and it can be very difficult to get back to the previous division, in some cases relegation begins a spiral that only eventually stops so relegation can be a disaster for a club.
Then you either forgive them for slipping or cancel the friendship.
People change, people make mistakes, holding them to something they did awhile ago doesn't do anybody any good. If a person is willing to change, why not forgive them and give them a fair chance? I don't see how holding petty grudges helps anyone
I think most games should have a subtitle option, I find it a lot easier to follow the game in a sometimes noisy household if I have subtitles on. Can be annoying if I miss something as I can't hear it, been a few times where subtitles have told me something I have would have missed without them.
While the start hasn't exactly been glorious and I'm sceptical of his capabilities, we can't judge him for a few years. Maybe that stimulus will revive the economy, maybe it won't but we won't know for a long time, same with the appointments that finally get confirmed.
What he did was unprofessional but at least he apologised for it, glad that was settled amicably enough. Should turn off your phone though
Doesn't have to be violence in games as mentioned earlier:
There are lots of non violent games to enjoy if thats what floats your boat. Tetris, Puzzle Quest, Flower, Braid, any racing game, most sports games, Guitar heros, rock bands thats a lot of games right there and thats just off the top of my head. GodModeEnabled
Enchanted and the Lake House come to mind immediately, I am however hopeless at remembering films. I wouldn't say the Merlin film was violent but not sure it would make the topic makers standards of non violent so that and a few others films probably don't count.
Did Ronaldo score?-Misanthropic-
Only if penalty shoot outs count, wrongly denied a penalty and had shot hit the post. Felt sorry for O'Hara and for Spurs, put in a resilient performance, Dawson. King, Zakora impressed me, Lennon did up to to the final ball but felt Redknapp let them down when he subbed their Russian striker, put a youngster for first penalty. Laughed when Bentley missed, horrible person that I am. Well done Man U, not your best game but centrebacks did well, Foster was impressive, Ronaldo lacked something in final third and in the end, felt Man U just about edged it.
Vodoo, what exactly qualifies as art for you and why? Without knowing that, I can't fully see were you are coming from with this.
For me, art is when someone, can be more then one person, sets out to create something beautiful or moving and manages it, leaving the beholder with a sense of said beauty, wonder or simply makes that person think a lot. Sometimes a moment in sport can cross into art for certain people while a painting isn't, for me, automatically art. Can games and movies cross into art? Yes, exceptional ones do take away people's breath with it's beauty and creativity so for me, it is art.
