I honestly hated Twilight Princess. It was great and all, but by the end I was completely bored. Part of the problem was that it came out after games like God of War and Shadow of the Colossus, which raised the bar for what an action adventure game could be. Twilight Princess just didn't stand out, and was mundane and old. The Zelda series needs to be redone, perhaps even like the April Fool's future Zelda thing.

Hurray for the PSP. And people said it was dead. :roll:

Obviously Nintendo is still dominating. I can't believe the amount of DS units they sell.

# 2 is a complete joke. super paper mario, zelda, and warioware are amazing titles, what are you talking about :|

Eh, those are more like Gamecube games ported up to the Wii. Not saying they are bad, but it would be nice to see more original titles. Metroid Prime 3 is the one that I'm waiting for.

[QUOTE="goblaa"]Just like the PS2.goblaa

Exactly, because the PS2 had no games. :roll:

The Wii is a good console, but as a Wii owner myself I can honestly say that there is no reason to buy one at this time.

The PS2 had no games at launch either.

Ah, I see where your coming from then. I don't think the PS2 sold as well as the Wii at launch, though.

I know more than a few people who bought a Wii on the basis that it, "Looked cool." They don't even really care for video games. I actually purchased one, too, though I figured good games would come out eventually.

[QUOTE="Dreams-Visions"][QUOTE="billing"]

Japanese not buying American consoles is pretty bad.

Whats worse, are Americans buying Japanese consoles.

billing

WTF?

People invest money in what they can trust. Things that have proven the test of time. The Xbox brand is still working on that. Just because many Japanese gamers are hesitant to drop a bunch of dough into a console that might not have their favorite types of games doesn't make that fact a "bad" one.

Remember, we buy Japanese consoles because we *always* have. Because they essentially started consoles.

I don't know about you but I buy consoles for the games.

360 has the best games of every genre.

If your too ignorant to understand that Japanese are biased towards American Consoles then I feel sorry for you,

Just don't give this BS about "People invest money in what they can trust"

They aren't just simply biased against it. They just have no reason to trust it yet. The Japanese buy plenty of American goods, and they like our clothing styles and whatnot.

Besides, MS is doing a horrible job advertising the console in Japan. They just translate American slogans into Japanese hoping that it makes sense. Like, "Jump in." doesn't really make any sense to the Japanese. A lot of the "big" games the 360 has either don't appeal to the Japanese, or just aren't well known enough.

 I think if enough time is given, MS can succeed in Japan. Its just going to take a while.

American made stuff is known to be poor quality in the rest of the world. Especially when it comes to automobiles. Most Amercan's just don't seem to understand...

Not only that, but online play doesn't really appeal to the Japanese market. They would probably rather have free online play thats not so great since they don't use the feature as much.

I own both systems, and I can honestly say that there is no reason to get a Wii right now. I'll probably appreciate my Wii more once stuff like Super Smash Bros or Metroid Prime 3 come out, but for now its just sitting there with a few VC games on it.

 The PSP on the other hand has a great library of games now and with the price drop, more greatest hit games for $20, and a promising line-up with titles like God of War and FF: Crisis Core, you can be sure that the PSP is the way to go at this time.

 Both will probably be very enjoyable in the long-run, but currently I'd get a PSP, then get the Wii during the holidays or something once more quality games appear.

Any of the titles you listed are a good choice, but I recommend Daxter as your first game. It really show cases a lot of what the PSP can do, and should make you very satisfied with your purchase.
