@racerxgundam You're right. You can die at any moment in this industry. But we are also only 6 and a half months into the Wii U's generation cycle (which is very early).

Just look at the PS3. Sony's Gaming division operated it's first 5 years in the red. They didn't finally get the PS3 turned around until two years ago.

During those first 5 years, a lot of people were calling it a failure. Would you say it's a failure right now? What do you think they did wrong those first 5 years?

While this is good news, these are all titles that the Wii U should have launched with. And it's the main reason the console ailing at the moment.

When you compare the launch line up between the Wii and the Wii U, the Wii launched with some really big blockbusters right out of the gate. Those titles included Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Super Mario Galaxy, Smash Bros Brawl, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Pikmin 2 and shortly after, Mario Kart Wii. The result was a very fast start which not only propelled the Wii past the PS3 in sales, but also helped it over-take the already year-old Xbox 360 in less than a year. The rest is history.

The Wii U however is a very different story. It launched with only two Nintendo branded titles: Super Mario Bros U and NintnedoLand. With the exception of ZombiU, everything else on the console is a multiplat. And if you already own an Xbox or a PS3, then there's no real drive to purchase a Wii U because you can play those games there.

Exclusives is what has kept Nintendo in this business over the years. Since the 1996 release of the N64, Nintendo has not only pulled through a mass exodus from it's former 3rd party developers, but it's re-innovated the industry with it's own stable of software (which is amazing because companies like Sega and Atari died out immediately before their respective generations were even half way concluded).

Keep in mind that that was 17 years ago. 17 years! And guess what? Nintendo is still here. Three console generations later, still without it's 3rd party support, still re-innovating the industry with it's own hardware and software, and still delivering a stable of GREAT GAMES despite all of you saying they are done or washed up.

So when all you Trolls come here with your cardboard headstones claiming that Nintendo is dead (again), just remember... 17 years. That's how long Nintendo has been proving you guys wrong.

17 and counting...

@pozium And what about Bayonetta 2? Or ZombiU? Or X? Or Shadow Of The Eternals? And all of these are exclusives. There IS more than just Mario.

@JumpyLuweegee Every single GameSpot user does this for every single platform. You're ALL fanboys. Every single one of you. And it's ONLY GameSpot who has the most narrow-minded users I've ever seen on any gaming website. But in the case of Nintendo, it's taken to a whole new level here.

The staff here can't post a single article (Good or Bad) about Nintendo or any of it's platforms without it getting ridiculously trolled to death. This is the one and only website where Nintendo hate is at an all-time high. It's not like this everywhere else. Well, at least not to this extent.

Here, GS users really take their opinions and the opinions of others way too seriously. You degrade eachother, humilate/abuse one another and repeatedly bully eachother for having any kind of thought/view/preference of their own. It's pathetic.

It makes me wonder what kind of people you really are sitting behind your computer screens. It's one thing to act like an jackass on the internet, but try your attitudes out there in the real world with a real person in your face. See how well you do then.

@sonyfreak456 I am all for a new Metroid game. I scream that on Miiverse every chance I get on every single community (same with Club Nintendo surveys).

That is what I really want more than anything.

@Dark_MetalSonic Nope. As they said in today's Nintendo Direct, this is "Exclusive to Wii U and 3DS."

I think I'd rather have this as a packaged disc, simply for collection. Although I usually prefer to download my games.
