OK, here is the cheapest rig I can build with everything included that kicksass against any of the consoles. This system is made of good reliable brands, good components and it comes in at £446, which in comparison to a PS3 here in the UK, £300 for the cheapest model!

This PC has:

  • Dual Core Processor
  • 4 GB of Ram!!
  • 8800GT!
  • 1 Free Game! (Company of Heros with GPU!)

You cannot argue against this PC, I have included everything and the source I have used, if you purchase the components there they build it for you! There are a lot of places that do this and it must be the same in the US!

This PC, will run crysis on high and at a decent resolution above what consoles tend to run at. It will max just about every game out right now and probably will do for the next 18 months!

Yes, it does come in slightly more than PS3s and Xbox 360 BUT THIS AIMED AT ALL THE CONSOLITES THAT CLAIM A DECENT GAMING PC WILL COST $3000!!

I'm going to do some more searching and I bet I can do an even better build in the USA as they have even cheaper components!

So I want to hear some acknowledgement from the consolites that they are wrong when it comes to their perception of how much PC gaming costs!

Seriously guys, follow the links I have provided for you and you will see this is a kickass PC in everyway!

Well actually that computer only costs £406. I found 8800GT for £129.99 at overclockers.co.uk

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-071-OK

And you also have to consider that PC games cost £10 less than consoles so at the end PC gaming can be cheaper than consoles...

Have a nice day

My Specs:

AMD 64 3400+ 2.2Ghz

1 GB of DDR RAM (PC 3200)

500W PSU

X1950pro IceQ3 607/789

My 3DMARK06 score is 4089 :(

Is that the right score for my specs and is my CPU and my RAM bottenecking my GPU?

The best free mmorpg is Tibia hands down. Two big updates every year keep the game fresh and theres alot of things to do. Ok the graphics are not 3D but i think its the best 2D looking game ever made. Tibia has got more players that EVE ONLINE so the community is quite big and one of the best communities in a MMORPG that i know off.

Just try it.

Heres what gameplay looks like in tibia:

I got a Socket 939 motherboard that currently has AMD Athlon 64 3400+ 2.2Ghz proccesor. I was looking around and i saw i can get a dual core proccesor for 939 socket for like £30-£40.

Would Athlon 64 X2 4800+ 2.4Ghz work on my motherboard? It has the same 939 socket but i am not sure that it will work 100% lol

If it would work will i get a good ammount of boost in my CPU performence?

Thx for any help
