@PeterDuck People are stupid enough to pay to play online, sometime three times if you add the online passes. Microsoft isn't stupid enough to get rid of that money bag...
@crunchb3rry People should have noticed this was coming, Microsoft has been trying to thwart hackers and pirates for years. They changed the Xbox 360 model to the slim not only to "reduce" the RROD problems but to prevent the ability to hot swap the HDD. The old 360 you could have a HDD with pirated games and just pop it on your system and then switch back to an un-moded one when you want to play normally. Now they're making it so you have to be online so they can constantly check your games for authenticity.
@cornbredx Ubisoft has Uplay, of course they'd be behind console players being online all the time. Then they can push their DRM on console users. Not one company other than Bioware has said anything against being online all the time because it benefits them.
@yeah_28 It's not even blocking, you have to download the game onto the system is what the rumors are saying. This means you can't even trade in used games, which means there won't be any used games in the stores.
