Nice marketing failure.

Steam goes to Linux "Meh Windows will suck, we're moving to free waters"; users "you're full of it Gabe".
Linux guy: "we don't want your profanity here"; Gabe "but, but, don't you love us? I mean, come on man, don't be like that"; Linux guy: "no"; Gabe: " so Windows users...guys".

Your understanding of linux is poor at best.

Your comprehension is terrible, get off the internet before you hurt yourself. It doesn't have anything to do with Linux, or what, you think random words affect coding of software?

Random guy: I like ketchup?

*idiotic random guy": Dude, you don't even get what the universe is about.

Nah bruh. u dum

[QUOTE="FelipeInside"] It's not only Live Tiles. The Search Function is vastly improved in Windows 8. The integration and synchronization across devices is an awesome idea (if MS get it right and it works as promised). It also has a faster boot up but the Instant Restore function would be interesting to those gamers that like to format every few months. Live I've said before, you don't have to upgrade but I don't personally think Win8 will be a disaster either. On my gaming PC I'm sticking with Win7, but I can't wait to buy the Microsoft Surface so I can write on these forums from my couch watching TV :)MBirdy88

This hype is nearly identical to:

Vista

Me

It is nothing alike. Vista & ME were ironically just "The next boring, samey Windows Desktop with the same basic functionality but with more standard bloated features. Windows 8 is less bloated than 7, while opens up cloud syncronised computing, lots of nice new user freindly additions (E.G what Felip has said.) and will now make it so we have a good, familiar experiance across all devices. But yea, you will say thats the same thing, but we both know it isnt. Either way, Metro is now on their phones, their tablets, and even the Xbox. the haters are going to lose, and wether it works with windows 8 or windows 9 , metro will remain the face of windows from now on. Go to the poorly supported linux, or closed off mac os x ... oh wait, even with the "Catastrophy" that supposedly is windows 8, it is still by far THE best choice, all the goodness of 7, with all the goodness of modern computing.

Just because in your post you say people secretly know these false things to be true doesn't make them true.

Nice try though with trying to argue without making points.

I love their music but they are the worst band live. ever

dominer

Can you give us details or a video?

Maynard stood behind the drum set and never left that spot the entire show. No crowd interaction. No deviation from what the recorded songs sounded like.

May as well just went to the amphitheater and listened to CDs

Didn't bother recording it

So here is the video of an immigrant from Russia arguing with a socialist guy (who says he opposes Stalin but supports Lenin and Trotsky) who is selling communist literature and soliciting money for a "militant fund" (which goes to run his paper). The Russian guy makes some pretty good points. Some parts of the debate are difficult to hear because of some Occupy Wallstreet big mouths shouting incoherent nonsene from a microphone in the background.

whipassmt

Socialism is not communism.

Canada is a socialist country and they are doing fine.

Your post implies that because there are 2 possibilities that both are equally likely and deserve equal time.

This is not the case.

One is based on science and fact and the other on falsities.

My phone already notifies me when any of those things occur. I am not just sitting at my computer waiting for twitter feeds and messages on facebook to roll in. If I am out, I already know if I have any communication before I even sit at my computer, so there is no need to check it and if I am sitting at my computer, either playing a game or doing work, I can just check my phone in its cradle when it chimes or my jelly bean tablet which is also in a position for easy access.

"Gee I hope someone sends me an e-mail right now!"

Live tiles would have been a 3rd party app, if that was anything that anyone other than felipe wanted.

And no, I don't want everything integrated into windows, because microsoft doesn't know how to integrate things into windows. it took until IE 9 for them to even get the web browser right.

Microsoft is way late to the party and I can already do what metro does without changing my windows 7 experience which is the first windows experience that was actually nice.

[QUOTE="JohnF111"]It's the one thing stopping Linux from taking off, now game devs and publishers can and most likely will advertise Linux on TV and the net, it brings Linux some exposure to the general public and might possibly change their attitude towards Linux being only for geeks and advanced power users. I welcome it and the GNU founder also said that the benefits far outweigh the negatives.Baranga
