Quatum computers would hack todays passwords and codes in a matter of minutes. Quatum computers use molecule based cpu's instead of substance based cpu's. Not only that it uses quatum mechanics to process data which is also much faster than today's computers. So the chip would be a lot faster, like a millions times faster.
I don't know if it already would be here in 10 years time. The last 10 years, not a lot has changed, only the further development of technology that was already widely available to the public, like gsm and internet. 20 Years ago , gsm and internet wasn't available to the public.
So if the next ten years will have an introduction of new technology remains to be seen, but it could be the right time for it. I think holograpic imaging and quatum mechanics will be the next step in computer technology.
