Personally I never understood the concept of PC exclusives. The PC is a open platform and noone will pay you for making your game PC exclusive. PC exclusives are games that simply wouldn't sell or would be to butchered on the consoles.

Witcher 1 sold quite well, and it would have never been able to launch on consoles cause it would have no chance

It sure is a lot cheaper than steam, I mean.. I pay all of 0$ a year for that. Let's be honest, you're paying for something that's supposed to be free.Inconsistancy

This

Why pay in the first place for something that is supposed to be free. Since steam provides far superior service to me and doesnt charge a dime, im left wondering why live isnt 10x better than steam.

After reading some of the comments in here, do people think the jump from 360/PS3 to PS4/Nextbox will be as huge as the jump from PS2/Xbox to PS3/360? Personally I don't think so.

PC_Otter

Nope. Look at those $600 PC threads, yes a good PC but not exactly "next gen" worthy, so how much would custom hardware which would be "next gen" worthy for a good console price cost?

Next gen needs to focus less on graphical power (1080p at 30 fps is fine), and more on CPU power. Wii 2 could be the foundation of that next generation if it was to use a Fusion APU + dedicated GPU, but alas, it probably won't, though it could be done for under $300 easy.

This gen is already focused on cpu power thats why we have teh cell being bottlenecked by its crappy 7800gt and 512mb of ram. As for the differences in console and PC gaming being minimal, thats because games are made with the lowest common denominator in mind, PC games or any games for that matter will not look as good until this gen's consoles die and the next wave is released.

I guess PC gamers aren't as good of a judge of game quality as they were claiming to be. Bu.. Bu.. but the The Witcher 2 will be the best game ever....Karnage108

Im pretty sure the witcher 2 will sell more, I see no reason why the witcher 2 would be in the top spots in steam when d2d offers it for 33$! I try to get every game on steam, but 33$ for the witcher 2 is too good to pass up

I just paid 56$ for both Civilization 5 and Witcher 2, one game is not even 6 months old and the other isnt even out yet. I love PC gaming.

valve sellout just like crytek :PJohn_Read

Exactly

When Crysis 2 did this people were up in arms calling it a console port, however when valve does it everyone defends them saying its not a big deal, valve is the only one keeping pc gaming alive yada yada. Valve is the most overrated game developer that ever existed imo, I only like steam from them

I would consider myself a steam fanboy I enjoy the automatic updates and having the steam game in your list for all to see

However on d2d currently I can get the Witcher 2 for 33$ while on steam it would be 45? Why doesnt steam have these kind of deals

Yeah I honestly think with the witcher 2 coming out no one is going to bother with this one until its like 5$. Its not even like what Bioware did for ME2 ps3 verision adding in all the extra content for free.
