Looks like an ergonomic nightmare! Keyboard and mouse = fine. Xbox controller = fine. Not sure what valve was thinking when they were designing this? This controller doesn't solve the apparent controller "problem" (of which I don't know what that is).
Game looks amazing, but I can only play single player survival on xbone. I'm unable to join multiplayer as I keep getting a disconnected from EA servers error. Right now other than visuals, nothing has given me the wow factor. Anyone else having issues connecting to the servers on xbox?
A shame to see a series fall so dramatically. I remember playing this on my N64 and it was amazing. My friend and I used to stay up all night playing it! Unless something drastic changes, this series looks to be dying.
Game is broken on pc. All the players run to midfield(including the goalies) and you can't shoot the ball, because the goal you're attacking the game thinks is the one you're defending so your player does clearances on the opposing half.
@beazermyst @Narxes I'm not saying reviews are irrelevant, however, we are increasingly seeing people "crossing the line" in their response to reviews and those who are reviewing them. For me, I like to read and/or watch reviews prior to buying some games to see if it will satisfy my expectations. But still there are genres of games that I simply don't find interesting even if they receive a 9 or 10, but I'm not going to get bent out of shape about whether the review is positive or negative. If necessary I'd provide my experience of a certain game as it applies to me, so as to either encourage or deter someone from getting a game. Realizing that just because I like or dislike a game doesn't mean you should agree with my views.
Nailed it! I'm a gamer in my 30s and I remember all those classics and I still go back to them from time to time. I remember playing Dune 2 and Wolf3d on my 486. I got lost in Betrayal at Krondor, and broke several mice playing Tie Fighter. I agree that now, it is more difficult to make a game that everyone "loves". People get so hung up on reviews, they feel it needs to justify their purchase. If you love it, why should you care if someone else doesn't?
