@spartanx169x: I haven't really been following the game closely so I was under the impression it was more of a standard FPS game. The comparison makes sense now.
As for the movie, obviously that wasn't everything about it, but it was just two things that I found funny about it. To be honest it wasn't a bad movie and it tackled relevant social themes in an interesting way, but it had a number of things that were glaringly silly about it.
My wife showed me The Hunger Games, and I don't remember it being anything like am FPS game. Am I mistaken that PUBG is about hiding in a tree for half the match, then getting poisoned and having the effects wash off in water even though it's a poison you ingested?
@bdrtfm: To be fair, leading up to the infamous review there had been a series of negative reviews for games by that company, even though the games ranged from decent to good. I'm not sure if they were all by the same guy or if his review was just the last straw.
Honestly, I don't understand why anybody outside the U.S. would eat either of these things. The stuff that other countries' McDonald's have on their menu looks so amazing, especially in Japan and India.
Is it more difficult than I think it is to make something an option that you can toggle for each specific game? They act like absolutely everyone wants to take gaming seriously and nobody will play for laughs. Do they think that this game is deep enough to be featured in national tournament settings alongside stuff like Street Fighter V?
Not every company is in the same position. This might not make sense for most companies, but Blizzard is a special case.
Blizzard pretty much have as much of the "white male nerd" audience as possible playing their games. To expand any further, they would need devs who might create something that more females and other races actually give a crap about.
Trying to increase the quality won't do anything but divide their current audience. If they make the gameplay deeper, the casuals won't understand it anymore, so they will lose at least as much of their white male audonce as they would gain. So all that's left is to make it prettier, which is something they can do while attracting a more diverse audience.
Wow, this has some talented people behind it. My only question is, if this many ex-Darksiders devs work for Nordic, then why not let them help finish Darksiders 3?
Did any of the updates ever make the planets and aliens more varied? I'll probably play this if they ever get to the point where you can explore many planets and actually have them look consistently different, with the occasional animal so absurd that I have to show all my friends.
