@skyhighgam3r: Dude, I'm going to break this to you, so you might want to sit down... The ENTIRE purpose of a console is for the manufacturer to tell you what you can and can't play, and for them to have the balls to charge you money for it. I'm not trying to insult you, and I've owned several consoles myself, when the number of good exclusives were too tempting to pass up. But since you seem so upset about Sony's censorship, it's only fair that you know that the only way you are not supporting their way of thinking is to buy no console at all.
@drnatedogg: For me, Mario 3D World was close enough to being as good as Galaxy that I wasn't disappointed. And there were some other grest games. I just feel like overall there were far less of them than any other Nintendo console except Virtual Boy.
Normally this would be exciting, but this time it just feels like they'll be ready so soon because they're games that they held back on releasing to make my Wii-U purchase extra regrettable.
@javalino: I admit that XII has me curious because of some of the praise I have heard for it. X just looked to me like an attempt to make an RPG out of terrible 1990s teen pop and teen drama characters.
@quakeknight1991: The difference is that one company has a reputation for trying to benefit both itself and the consumer, while the other is assumed to only benefit itself. I don't know whether that's fair or not, as I haven't bought any Square Enix games since the late 1990s (except for the DS Chrono Trigger)
Well, the console upgrades have advantages and disadvantages, so it's good to know that EA likes them. That way, we know for sure that they must be bad without having to weigh the issue.
Thanks, Square, for confirming right out of the gate that I am right to keep ignoring this series. Haven't played since FFIX, and it just keeps looking worse with each new entry.
