@heydink: I'm looking forward to the game too, but I'd like to say that with the amount of hype they've built for it, there is no longer any such thing as unfair expectations.

@Rushaoz: It's the end result of any media form becoming popular in America. TV, movies, and music have all been driven by this same phenomenon for decades. Get used to it.

Well the game itself is what it is, but the more interesting story is what dirty scandal caused the falling out between Gamespot and Hello Games? Up until now they were on the forefront of the hype train, and now they're joining the naysayers!

Wow, that's even shorter than when I "beat" The Sims. But it took me longer than when I beat Second Life and Team Fortress multiplayer.

@drizzygadget: You should try Spore... You can take over planets using that kind of stuff as your main tactic

@stylest: And they will have nobody to blame but themselves for putting it on consoles. The PC version will probably be modded like crazy and be played for years.

I just hope that if it's all about exploring, then there will be ecosystems to interact with to some degree. Several species if animals where some cooperate and some eat each other, some species should eat a certain resource but produce a different one, that sort of thing. And I should be able to take a species to the next planet and see what it affects there.

@ShadowNic94: whoops, I must have gotten Nordic and Deep Silver confused for some reason. I have no idea why either.
