I really enjoyed the latest Blade Runner, I thought it lived up to the feel of the original quite a bit, and I know the director's dream project is Dune, so I'm excited to see how this turns out!

@Juub1990: "Probably why no one gives a shit about morality when it comes to violence."

I can't speak for you, but I literally brought up the Columbine game along with a few other "violent" games in the post you replied to, if you actually read it.

Also, the irony in you getting offended about a comment in a thread about what people find offensive is amusing. Maybe I can edit my comments so as not to trigger you? Maybe you'll conceptually "give them more points" based on your opinion, an opinion that you rightfully have, that nobody has a right to demand you change? I only ask, because "STFU" is the epitome of an offended response, so I'm just curious if it would make you feel better.

@Pyrosa: This is going to be annoyingly technical (I hate being that guy), but for clarification and best advice, when you say FF 1-3, do you mean the Japanese/worldwide releases, or original American releases? Meaning, did you play "Final Fantasy 3" for your Super Nintendo, which is FF6 now, or did you play the classic NES game released only in Japan, Final Fantasy 3, that has since been ported and remade stateside keeping it's name, FF3? Two very different games, but I'm making the assumption that you meant the current FF3, not 6.

In any case, Chrono Trigger is my personal favorite game of all time. Amazing soundtrack, great pacing, wonderful story that mixes light and serious tones without being convoluted or too heavy on the dialogue. Definitely more serious than Tactics Advance, but not nearly as serious as Tactics: WoL. If you enjoyed FF1-3, I don't see why you wouldn't enjoy it. It's very similar in combat concepts (turn based, attack/heal/magic/items, etc.), except that it's faster paced and fights play out right there with enemies you encounter on the map rather than random battles, which adds to some area of effect moments where battlefield location is important. When it comes to strategy, as a turn based combat game, it's nothing like Final Fantasy Tactics, as a strategy game, to temper your expectations. Still, Chrono Trigger is a fantastic game, and a gold-standard in the JRPG genre. I might be looking through rose-colored glasses, but I like to think I'm not, and that it really is that fantastic, but then again, I have no idea what playing it for the first time in the current gaming landscape would feel like. Of note, if this is your only way to play it, picking it up for your phone is fine, thought it is considered to be a slightly lesser quality port of the original, if only because of some odd movement design choices. I've played it though, and it's still perfectly enjoyable, if that isn't a turn off.

Also of note, you're on your way to the Final Fantasy greats if you move on to FF4 on up. FF4 is simply fantastic, and FF6 is my personal favorite in the series (though that has also sparked a million conversations/arguments). Both are amazing if you like classic JRPGs, and FF9 is also amazing if you like the classic style, as it maintains the "fantasy" feel that was kind of missing from FF7 and 8, but obviously, FF7 and 8 can be considered amazing in their own ways, depending on your tastes.

Annnyyyways, that was long winded, but it's a hearty recommendation from me!

This really is terrible clickbait, and it worked, and I'm sad.

You know what makes me not sad? Spider-Man 1 and 2. They're great, they hold up, they helped pave the way for current super hero flicks, and while that's simply my opinion (one shared by the majority of fans, not all, but most), to say that they are demonstrably bad films on a fundamental level as fact is just nonsense, and a low-brow attempt at stirring a pot and getting attention. I hate that it works, so to counter the negativity, I'm shouting out some love to all you Spidey-fans who can appreciate a great Spidey flick!

Having fond flashbacks of Lemmings 2: The Tribes for SNES, this could be a decent addition, though it'll likely be hurt by standard mobile game practices. Hope not, so I'll have to check it out!

@videogameninja: "NINTENDO GOTY BY DEFAULT" made me lol, it's true. A helluva a game, with some amazing indie titles to support (Hollow Knight, Dead Cells, Celeste) but they aren't exclusive. Still, the handheld feature fits my lifestyle, as I tend to play my other consoles and PC when at home and the Switch when about (or when my wife has the TV, because, ya know, sharing and stuff). Best of all worlds! Either way, yeah, great game, even if it's one of the only.

@srfilk86: While my opinion differs from yours in that I enjoy the console, I respect that not everyone shares the same taste, but in particular, I'll definitely respect the opinion of anyone burnt by Earthbound, because damn if I didn't want them to finally bring Mother 3 stateside. I enjoyed the translated ROM, but it's the principal that the series just doesn't get the respect it deserves, especially when it's such a low cost risk to please fans.

Great game, feature rich and fun, it's been a wonderful breather for my wife and I between stretches of (the fantastic, but woefully gargantuan) Red Dead Redemption 2. Well deserved!

This movie is outright fantastic, I couldn't praise it enough! Unapologeticaly dripping with style, humor and heart, a fun love-letter to Spidey fans everywhere, and quite frankly, I had more fun with this than most live-action super-hero films lately. Don't take the "animated movie" tag as a negative, it goes all in on the goods.
