@thegarbiel I definitely have to agree with the loss of objectivity here. With a game that moves at such a fast pace as this one, and requires frame perfect timing to perform certain moves, a perfect 10 can't be given if there are frame rate issues. All of the mainstream game sites docked the original's PS3 version because of such issues.
@groowagon @OmegaGear In terms of gameplay, it is. If you want to talk about mechanics and variety, that's different. I'll admit the gameplay is more console based than PC though.
@groowagon @OmegaGear The honest truth is that I can't think of any game to have such lack of story telling since Super Mario brothers and its single cutscene telling you the princess is in another castle. It really is that bad.
@Gamer_4_Fun @OmegaGear @Underdrill I assume you're referring to the 16 player limit in countless instanced zones? I really don't see how being next gen only would have helped its base structure in any relevant way. The PS4 and XB1 aren't exactly bleeding edge tech. Maybe boost the player count to 24 or 32, but not to a one world mmo experience. I really think that the player limit was a conscious decision, because if there's one thing the story telling makes clear, its the dire situation humanity is in, and the scarcity of numbers and resources.
