@Truth_Hurts_U @xxxxTRISTAMxxxx There is nothing wrong with that, since the engine is just the backbone for the graphics and control. It's how they use that's the problem.
@AndrewV29 Simultaneous release with the PS4 version, and thursday has traditionally been the day to release videogames in the United States. I am aware that has changed this generation, with the advent of digital distribution, but thursday is still the day for videogames, while fridays are for theater releases, and tuesdays are for home video releases.
@arqe What exactly would make the open world proper? It functions just like any other mmo, although it is still separated into zones, instead of one giant world, ala WoW. The linearity comes in the form of the main storyline, but you're more than free to ignore that, and just go exploring and grind the old fashioned way. It's what you'll have to do after you level your first class through the story anyways.
@arqe @OmegaGear If the servers can't handle the traffic, then it is too much traffic. That is simply a fact. I never said they didn't screw up. I stated they still blundered on their end. I'm just saying that having high traffic for an mmo doesn't mean its a failed launch. You can say its a poorly executed launch, but it's not a failure.
@tommynj A game having problems because of too much traffic is not a failure, as far as sales are concerned. It's a blunder on their end, yes, but this is nothing like the original's launch that saw nearly dead servers in most cases.
@Utra Thankfully, at least this time around the game isn't buggy. As for having more servers initially until demand is met, its about measuring demand. They want to have enough servers, but they also don't want unpopulated servers, because mmo players don't like starting over, and servers, in general, don't like mergers. Of course, this early on, there's only no server culture developed yet.
@Metalnoid "Slavery" is not tipping servers at restaurants. They have to pay 3% of every table bill to the restaurant's tip pool for everyone else. So no tip means they just paid to kiss ass.
@NeonNinja @themyth01 That means the internship will fulfill an internship requirement if your degree needs one. I had to do one for my degree, and it royally sucked.
