I can't believe nobody has mentioned the greatest crappy minigame of all time within a game:

Super Turbo Turkey Puncher 3

Also if you score 25000 points on it (it's in the kitchen if you missed it) you get an interesting email on your PDA.

lol :D

Im looking to buy a case when i buy my computer. Here It says it has a screwless design. Should i get a case with screws or not.Pelicans

Screwless is great, I use the Raidmax Smilodon

It has great airflow and plenty of fans.

I have used this one a few times now. The only complaint I remotely have is that the newer GPU's do fit tight up against the drive bays, but they still fit, plus there is a fan that is directly on the graphics cards to keep them cooler.

No it will not work, not that way anyway.

Are you trying to just gain access to files on the drive, or trying to use it as a bootable drive??

This will make a difference, plus if the files on your XP drive were protected, it will be difficult to get those files off of it.

Basically when you properly install the two OS's, when you start the computer a "boot loader screen" will come up, basically an option screen that will ask you which OS you wish to run.

BUT

You need to install the OS's properly in a specific way for it to work. For me, a clean install of both OS's is the best way to go, installing XP first, then Vista, since Vista will recognise the older OS (XP), and allow you to install it as a secondary OS, even though it will be the default OS if you do not make the choice while restarting the computer (don't worry, you still are able to choose everytime you reboot the system).

imo, a gaming mouse is the place ot start, and also imo a wired one is the best option, and gaming keyboards, well the best reason is the macro buttons for those, but, you could just get a dedicated gamepad or something similar to do that with, then you wouldn't even need to worry about another keyboard, but there are some nice keyboards out these days.

I play occasionally, but really would like to try the new one based on the UT3 engine.

and the game should either update itself, or provide a link to the official update. The only reason you may not wish to use the fileplanet or other similar source, is that sometimes they are a version behind.

I agree with the ISP limiting your d/l with an interruption.

Try using an addon that will allow your download to restart, see if that helps. You aren't using dialup, are you? That would definitely explain it.

The only other thing may be a bad NIC card or driver, but as you can surf and download not likely either.

I am not sure that your firewall or router would be causing it, since you are able to download small files, and you are able to get partial downloadsas well. It definitely sounds more like the ISP.

Do you have another computer in the house you can test a download with? That could help eliminate your computer as the fault.

I would guess hard drive is going, and fast. I know you said you couldn't be bothered with it, but if you or someone you know has another hard drive laying around, I would try using that instead. As far as actually buying a new one, I would first make sure that is the problem, not to mention, a system that old may not be worth investing in, unless your sister is satisfied with it overall and needs nothing better for now. And for the record, I have one old machine with a Pentium 1 233Mhz that loads faster than that, so something is definitely off here.

Absolutely, I have the evga 8800 gt superclocked, and it howls on my system (Crysis it the only game I don't run in 16x12 (22" CRT), which I run at 1280x960 at high, or 1024x768 for Very High).

I don't see any need to upgrade for a while, even if I have to start dropping resolutions a bit for the upcoming releases.

My system:
Case: RAIDMAX SMILODON ATX-612WBP Black ATX Mid Tower

Pwr Sup: ABS Tagan BZ Series BZ800 ATX12V / EPS12V 800W Patent Piperock
Modular Power Supply

Mobo: ABIT IP35 Pro LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard, w/Realtec 7.1 CH HD Audio
(allows on the fly overclocking without reboot)

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz 2 x 4MB L2 Cache LGA 775
Quad-Core Processor, G0 Stepping (though I mostly leave it at stock speed)

Mem: OCZ Vista Upgrade 4GB(2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800
(PC2 6400) Dual Channel Desktop Memory Kit

GPU: EVGA 512-P3-N802-A1 GeForce 8800GT Superclocked 512MB 256-bit
GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card

HDD: Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD5000AAKS 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB
Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive

Monitor: ADi Microscan 22" CRT

OS(s): XP (version LastXP) & Vista Ultimate (version LastV) Dual Boot
