Hardcore gamers will scoff at Nintendo? Please playing shooters doesn't make you a hardcore gamer. I've been playing since the 2600, I'm posting this while on the can, I'm hardcore. I've played through fallout on Ps4, my xboxone seems to be used solely for video streaming. I just ordered three games for Wii U, two of which I plan on playing. I'm a hardcore gamer, and can say the Wii U while not used much has had several good games worth playing. You want hardcore grab a nes ant try to beat TMNt or any number oaF other games.
@FarginIcehole easier after years of practice. Video games can help hand eye coordination, but I doubt I will ever see a racing simulator which makes me feel like I'm driving a car. Even vr devices don't simulate the forces involved, the smells, and tactile in/out. Games are for entertainment. Always a few will be stimulated in the wrong way, but I don't believe we should make laws for what a few might do when we already have laws to cover those actions (murder, manslaughter).
I don't think some of the play mechanics, and some of the writing, are not that good. I like the game, it is what I expect from this level release, nothing more or less. I might even give it an 8 to 8.5. I think the game is marketed to men, that and the fact the male characters are just as bad as the female, I don't find it misogynistic, so that doesn't play into it.
@RadPro I like steam, but I still wont buy a new $60 game from them, but $5 for a few older games on sale, yeah, maybe even $20 for a newer game on sale, but always on sale. My cheap (poor) self will be looking for that copy of gta5, maybe in a couple three months I will have time to play a little.
@blueinheaven no they are looking at all the money made off games for phones and facebook. That's fine if that is who they want their customer base to be, just hope someone keeps making games for people who like games and not just looking for something to do at school or work other than school or work.
I play games at home, not in a car. If I'm out, I'm doing something. Digital is ok, as long as it is cheap imo. I did play some free to play games by ea, but they didn't get a penny out of me for those games. (thanks by the way ea) And connected, ok now and then, but often spoiled by sore loser, trolls and others, plus I want to pick up a game and play for a few I don't go online just to drop out of a game.
Cell phone is not a proper noun, no need for a C. You show why I don't correct others sentence structure on online post. I make mistakes and am not going to take the time to correct them in such an informal setting. You can combine two simple statements into one sentence. The structure is more subject to current trends then actual rules, as they the rules vary with trends.
@SpikeSpeagal @Stedmister but the ad dept has limitations, Like they only receive 1 min of recording they can run through recognition software to target you to specific products. It's all good!
@Blu3V3nom07 I consciously pay so little attention to the ads, that I didn't really think of it till you mentioned. But, 360 has a ton of ads which I found annoying. The redone dashboard was simply a way to introduce more marketing. I went with 360 first, and have gave it up two or three times. I really think this gen it will be sony and Nintendo. After all microsofts imo bad decisions (win 8, the dashboard made for ads on 360), I don't think I will be buying their new system anytime soon.
