@Vienreich I was thinking just yesterday about the smell device I seen someone developing. I once thought about a set of glasses you could put on that would act as a screen, years later a company made and advertised just such a device, and it failed. Wasn't quite the same as my idea but very similar. It isn't a bad idea, just one people aren't ready for yet. Mapping an individuals neurons and installing such devices really are not that far out of our grasp, but who would put up with a real woman or man, we'd die off. heheh

@DAOWAce @driftingsilvia neither is digital media, by your own argument let us compare an Atari 2600 game to a xbox 360 game, same difference. Just because you want something to be different doesn't mean it should be. Used car sales do hurt auto industry, they would have to sale more if there were no used ones, and a law could exist for it. Your argument is as invalid as any other. Not that I really care, but I do have nostalgic memories of getting Nintendo games as a kid. I think you miss understand that point, kids like and treasure something tangible more so then something intangible. code is intangible, physical media and packing isn't. People look at sales of games on Ipad ie, but those cost much less, so they don't think about spending it as much, give a kid a choice between a new bike or a couple of "digital" games and I bet he takes the bike 9 out of ten times.

@zyxahn I seen a welding book from the 40's that had this welder floating in the air, saying it was the future of welding. Still haven't seen one.

@Vienreich it is more about the experience. When I was a kid first you went to the store and checked out the boxes. Then you got home and popped in the game enjoying the artwork, the joy of removing the wrap. You probably later enjoyed the manual. According to some EE's I now if the signal is in the air and you can pick it up you aren't stealing, no one owns the intangible. So I guess you feel it is ok? it is always perspective, should games cost so much, programmers and artist make so much, just more materialism.

They should also be cross platform licenses bought. I like Nintendo but hate greedy actions. Businesses seem to want to wring out every penny when I think sales would be higher if they gave better value. I doubt anyone has the numbers to prove one way or another.

You will notice all most all rom sites state it is illegal to download and keep the rom if you don't own the game. Just saying. I personally like playing on the old systems, but would say buy earthbound on virtual console rather than pay over a hundred on eBay for a used copy or use an emulator. Yes I played nes games on an emulator 15 - 20 years ago, and yeah I thought it was cool way back then, but now think they are lame.

I think it would be nice if some game companies stopped telling us what we want, and just made what people want. ie. You all want micro transactions, because we can get more money out of you, you all want all games to be online and multi-player, again so we can sell you upgrades for more money, so on and so on.

@Jonny-Two-Delta @Orvell @swamptick no, that was the point. I like all the systems, but I don't like what many game companies are doing to gaming. EA is one of the biggest offenders.

@Wahab_MinSeo I can do with either the sony or xbox console, I have had both and one or the other more than once. I even gave my wii to my niece once. But, nintendo will have imo better exclusives than the other two systems. No halo ok lots of shooters. No god of war, well maybe another darksiders then. But, only one zelda, only one mario, and I'm a fool for the nostalgic. I even like old appliances that are dangerous and older than me, for their style.
