I will have to check the game out. I believe the most important aspect of a resident evil game should be atmosphere, and it should be survival horror. The moments which made me almost jump out of my seat (that first zombie in the hall of RE1) or startled an excited expletive from me, are what made me a fan of resident evil. I personally don't believe every game needs multi-player. I also don't like it when series I have always ejoyed are altered into quasi interactive movies (final fantasy).

Some times one must sacrifice and lose one battle to turn sentiment and the tide of the war to ones side. The more EA pushes in this instance the greater the potential for consumer exodus, and thus waning profits.

The problem with corporations and our current economic model is that constant increases in profits are expected. This means lower pay for workers and cheaper product sold at increasing premiums. It is fairly simple and the flaw is apparent. I believe. How long can ea maintain it's business model for the future. That is up to the consumer. I want to play me 3, but think I will buy a used copy and skip any download content. I can't think of anything else they make I want to play and would skip mass effect 3 if I hadn't played through the first two.

It is not only an issue of morality, but one of diversity. Excluding sports games, then my guess would be two out of every three console games are shooters. Or at least that is what it seems like.

Believe it or not there are still many parts of the US where internet connection is still dial up or sat based neither will work. I'm not going to pay a huge amount for bandwidth, and the bandwidth where I am going is not good enough to play games. You need to get out of the city. Most of the country is still rural. A feature like always having to be connected most definitely should effect a review as it effects playability. I don't believe it was part of the review here. I believe the lack of server bandwidth may have been an issue for the review but that is diff.

so dumb. Do pirates buy games? No. Restricting a game and loosing sales, not increasing is foolish. I would wager it cost them at least 5% in sales.

I have not played this. As stated I'm gonna be out of town much of the summer and will not have internet connection. So that is why I'm not buying. I also doubt it deserves a 10, especially considering the other comments. Pirates don't buy games. Gamers who buy their games, don't buy games they can't play. Of a side note, I think the real money auction house sounds bad, and greedy.

I am going out of town today, and won't be online. I would have bought this game but no offline mode, means no go for me. Do they realize how many sales they loose over things like this

I just noticed on my xbox that some of my downloaded content doesn't work (looking at you rocksmith) when not connected to live. Having to be connected is a deal breaker for a system or download content. Not being able to play used games, might be. I really hope that they don't mess up the next gen of gaming systems. I have been playing along time and want to continue playing.
