I agree with a couple of things she said, but disagreed with more. I don't need kinect, blue-ray, mobility matters, exclusive bonus content, I would like to see free online play, won't happen. New franchises. And a steam like discount online game system, which won't happen, or at least not at the steam specials/prices. I want a console for gaming first and foremost.
Maybe because for a while it seemed like every other game released was a shooter. Not every game has to be a shooter or play like one, not every game has to have online. I only need a couple of shooters in my library, just as I only need two or three racing games. I like games with stories and shooters and racing games aren't big on stories. Make more good action adventure (some can even be a shooter, sort of, gta, dead island, boarderlands, bioshock, are shooters variations that will stay on the shelf with traditional shooter or two), platformers, and rpg's (haven't been impressed with most this gen to generic). Thats just my taste in games.
nobody likes whining and ranting on about the dual screens comes across as such. I didn't think I would like the dual screens when I first heard about the ds. I think it does work ok. The vita does have a very nice screen, but I have never been one to be impressed more by graphics than game play. I do believe the 3d is novel and the screen lacking on the 3ds. I also think the 3ds will still do better, as portable systems are often utilized by children and nintendo has a reputation for making games kids like (I still love mario).
I remember the many hours on super nes/genisis playing sf2 and mortal kombat, beating my buddies (and getting whipped). Online is good, but nothing beats having them in the room to trash talk to their face.
I remember an old computer game where you throw exploding bananas at buildings. Had a class where we wrote a program for that game, later when older. Then little older keep hearing about angry birds. Same game with better graphics. Wow. I need to reprogram some 30 year old games with better graphics.
I didn't give sony my real info, but I have many other companies. This reminds me why I should not share everything with (often unknown) online entities. I hate to lie, but I am not being asked a question by a person. They had no need of my personal info for me to buy their system and use it. I guess I will take the free games, but only because no harm will be done to me over this. other wise I might be much more upset. they messed up big time, of course fans of ps3 don't like to hear/read that.
