Worst FF of the gen with some of the least charismatic characters of the series, a *terrible* spell system that turned things into a grind worth of an MMO, an utterly forgettable antagonist, and complete with a juvenile love story perfect for reeling in the pre-teens. May be my least favourite FF game ever, actually. I literally had to force myself to finish the bloody thing.

I agree with most of what you said. The love story was very shallow.

I'll guarantee that in 1000 years humans definately won't be using a standard controller of today.

moistsandwich

In 1000 years we won't even have enough materials (plastic or metal etc) to actually make the controllers with :P

3D gaming is a huge gimmick because 3D movies are a huge gimmick. Its pointless and its stupid 110million
I watched Avatar in 3D at cinemas and it was awesome. Completely blew standard 2D vision out of the water for me. Please train yourself to tell the difference between opinion and fact.

Motion controls as optional extra = win-win situation for people who love motion controls and people who hate them. The fact that you can play Socom 4 with a standard gamepad OR the Move is a superb way to implement motion controls in a standard video game. People who love the Move can appreciate the it in Socom 4, and people who hate the Move can continue using the standard gamepad. Seriously, its a win-win situation for everybody :) Sony has the best method IMO. Microsoft second, and Nintendo third.

[QUOTE="PandaBear86"]Why would people complain over Linux being removed from a GAMING machine? I hated Linux on my PC because it lacks gaming support, so I can't imagine using it on an actual gaming console. What am I supposed to do, write up Excel Spreadsheets with a DualShock controller? People complain over the most stupidest things. Don't worry Linux fans, I am sure that some companies with create toasters and microwave ovens with built-in hard drives so you can install Linux on them.Antikyth3ra
I just don't get why they don't just put linux on their computer I doubt these people are posting from their PS3 browser and I'm sure Linux will run better on their 5 year old PC.

True that. You can install Linux on anything nowadays. Desktops, laptops, netbooks, mobile phones, tablet PCs, Practically anything that has a CPU, RAM and storage space (hard drive/flash memory) can run Linux. PS3 has got to be terrible for Linux because why would you write documents with a Sixaxis controller, or even use a keyboard/mouse in front of your TV while sitting on your sofa? It appears people just like complaining, or suing just to get money.

By that comment, I guess for shooters you only play doom and wolfestein since they started the FPS genre.... Sorry dude accept innovation.

Except from a gameplay standpoint modnation isn't bringing innovation :? It's innovation is strictly in it's custom tracks features. As for the actual gameplay and game mechanics it's hard to argue it's not a mario kart clone.

Even if its a clone, whos saying it won't be fun? Better physics and graphics are a plus in my book.

[QUOTE="mrmusicman247"][QUOTE="Bread_or_Decide"]

I played the mod nation demo for PSP. The racing really wasn't anything special.

Bread_or_Decide
I don't think the PSP version and the PS3 version are the same game. Although i could be wrong.

True but the basic race gameplay shouldn't change much. It's still your average kart racer.

Maybe you were comparing ModNation Racers directly to Mario Kart and thought it wasnt anyhing special. Because when you play a game where you can create your own racetracks, anything is possible.

Its a racing game, but that doesn't mean its a "rip-off". Theres plenty of racing games out there.

it's a weapon based kart raxing game with cartoon characters

In that case, I suppose Metro 2033 is a rip-off Doom 2 because it contains a guy with a gun
