If the 3DS's 3D side of things ends up an ignored gimmick then would it be fair to compare the 3DS to a PSP and if so it seems expensive!

[QUOTE="Pantburster"]

The Wii hasn't been out too long and deserves a while longer to recieve its complete Nintendo diet of games and until then just enjoy it STOP these pointless demands.

outatime557

5 years this fall, and if no new Nintendo console is announced by then this will be the longest Nintendo generation in history.

That being said I wouldn't mind a move to HD at all, even if that's the only new addition. It's getting a bit ridiculous when consumers have to worry about their (current-gen) consoles not being compatible with their HDTVs because its hardware is too out of date.

You have actually got me there because some newer TV's are HDMI only i believe, BUT not many dude!

I like my Wii, i understand exactly what it is and its place within the gaming spectrum. I own a PC which i use for HD gaming and as for my fix of Zelda,Mario etc i enjoy my Wii! yes that's right i enjoy it, it doesn't need replacing as far as i'm concerned Mario and Zelda look and play fine already. If anything i would rather the development of F-Zero Wii was a higher priority than the Wii 2. I don't sit there asking for my PC to run a Mario game just as I don't expect my Wii to run the next mass effect so why all this speculation and demand for a powerhouse Nintendo machine? The Wii hasn't been out too long and deserves a while longer to recieve its complete Nintendo diet of games and until then just enjoy it STOP these pointless demands.

!!!THE NGP IS POINTLESS!!!

There i said it. The type of games that require lots of gpu/cpu power seem ignored on portables and compared to the feature-rich 3DS(that in fairness is quite powerfull aswell) the 'NGP' is already looking isolated in no-mans land. I respect Sony for sticking to their stragegy of most powerfull but i fear it is not that important to most people and i do include hardcore gamers too. I mean the PS3 is the most powerfull console yet you don't see Xbox 360 owners crying about it or indeed Wii owners for that matter. With the portable device market at saturation point with IPhone etc joining in the fight a portable needs something different to be noticed and then bought like for example glasses free 3D!

It seems to me that Nintendo, whilst backward in tech on some levels have it right on more important levels. I am talking about, in this instance, 3D gaming. 3D has never been done with true commitment in terms of a dedicated console like the 3DS and the same can be said for motion controls and other Nintendo efforts. The PS3 and XBox360 motion and 3D will fail because they are too seperate from the original consoles attributes. Sony seem to have a me too method and Ms seem to try to steamroll with cash whilst the big N uses its balls and for that you have to at least give respect even if you don't like what they are doing.

[QUOTE="Sandvichman"][QUOTE="Thunderdrone"]If you hate the Wii then you dont like nintendo that much to begin with. Nothing wrong with that but yeeah, thread title makes no sense whatsoever.

How so? I still adore nintendo, but i dont enjoy the wii simple no? Its like saying that i cant enjoy my favorite pizza restaurant because i think one of their pizzas taste awful

Nintendos most prolific games are Mario and Metroid of which are at their best on Wii as is Zelda and many others so if this was compared to a pizza restaurant serving their finest and you denying yourself such tasty treats then i would have to assume you have gastronomic/mental issues :-)

The Nintendo Wii is awesome! I can't fault it. It has some amazing games and a new way to play 'em, what's to hate? What i can hate is the boring xbox 360 and ps3 with their endless first person games that are awkward to play on rubbish dual analogue sticks!!! ffs buy a pc if you like that stuff at least you don't have to pay for online and the keyboard/mouse blows away a gamepad! At lease the Wii offers something original and new and nobody can deny the talent for making great Nintendo has.
