I think the reason they don't use Arthas is because there is no strong human male lead that counters him. A film can't have a villain without a strong nemesis and there is no way they could invent a hero character that would satisfy people. Unfortunately, Hollywood demands a white male actor needs to be the star of films of this type so there goes Thrall, Furion, Jaina etc. Also I think Arthas is too much like Darth Vader in many ways.
The earlier games (WC1 +2) have vague characters at best that are kind of an aside to the game so they aren't particularly fleshed out too much. I haven't read any books though so I may be leaving some things out. They would need something completely original. Either a prequel or a movie that takes place hundreds of years after current Warcraft lore.
@ddogbritt16 @PesmergaYuber They actually have pretty good games, some AAA titles some indie titles. For example right now Saints Row III is free, not my cup of tea but that's a fairly successful IP
Yeah Playstation Plus is actually a pretty good service. I have had it for a few years since they had that promotion to get it for free when the network was compromised. I have gotten a ton of free games, some good some not so good, but the service has more than paid for itself several times over. Having an online fee isn't surprising, maybe a little disappointing though just because I am an old school gamer. But I suppose it's no different than going to the local arcade and pumping a bunch of quarters into a machine
Personally I can understand why they did this. There are a ton of games that offer very good multiplayer experiences, if you want it go play one of those. I think Bethesda made the right choice multiplayer is not what they are known for.
