I had a PSP and really liked it, the price is what is stopping me from getting a Vita, otherwise I probably would. I like remote play options so me that is a plus.
Yah the scenarios are not meant to be easy that's for sure. This expansion looks pretty good, it's been a while since I've played Civ V looking for a reason to get back into it.
North Americans are fickle, something is cool for five minutes then its on to the next new thing.
I totally get what Take-Two is saying, it costs a ton of money to make an MMO, they want to make sure the launch goes smoothly. So they invest in a ton of staff and servers, marketing and promotional materials, plus there are a ton of other costs that I'm sure I'm excluding. It's a huge gamble, and for a company like Take Two they don't need to take that risk to make profit.
After a few months, people start losing interest and dropping like flies, then all that money they spent setting up servers goes to waste and now they have to lay off a ton of staff. All that time they could have been dedicating their resources to making a non MMO that is more profitable in the long term. The more MMOs there are the fewer people there are to play them. There are a few MMOs that have retained a sustainable user base, but not without going F2P.
Also Mobile games are popular but they can't be compared or linked to the success of MMOs because they are a completely different animal. Mobile games are designed so that you can jump in and out of them quickly they don't require a time commitment like MMOs do.
I'm sure by default the unit is set to track and record everything, you probably have to go to Microsoft's website and manually opt out of data collection. Even then there are no guarantees that they still wont do it anyway.
