EA doesn't care they know they will still get everyone's money anyway considering they have aggressively annexed a very sizable share of the game studios. We all know McDonalds isn't good for us, but we eat there anyway. Big Biz cares only for profit, is this actually a surprise anyone?
@mrboone01 "And those who do play it, hope you enjoy filling out those nice tax forms for any profit you make, because Blizzard just opened the door for virtual item taxation. I currently have a family member who is an I.R.S. auditor who is just itching for this game to hit." I think this is a very important point that more people should think about. Even in Canada these earnings would be subject to income tax. And who knows where GST comes into play here because there is no precident for something like this. Blizzard/Activision has a whole team of accountants to help them avoid paying taxes in the name of profit, most of us probably don't. Also what about Canadian and European players? We will need to have our own servers because exchange rates would be a factor. The value of the US dollar will effect when players trade, like the stock markets, Canadians and Europeans would stand to lose or gain money depending on exchange.
