I have noticed my own share of issues with ME3, but none of them are in this article. How about the bugs in the game? That's a REAL reason to hate it. And yet, I still love this game because it has the best of BioWare in it. You can talk all you want about marketing ploys and getting bent over by EA and all that, but at it's core, ME3 is a good game. The DLC hasn't hurt me. Would it have been nice to see it in game? Sure, but even without it, I can progress through the game quite enjoyably, while ignoring whatever the DLC would have brought. I also find the multiplayer quite fun, and in fact, I've probably spent more time in that MP than in the single player game. I agree that the homosexuality in the game is creating an unnecessary backlash, but it's bound to happen. There's still a majority homophobic culture out there I think, and hopefully one of these days that will change like so many other prejudices. I'd say this article has less to do with ME3, as much of what is being said is nitpicking, with the exception of Origin, also something I agree with (1/2).

People en masse tend to act with great lack of intelligence. This is evidence. For what purpose and reason is there to be so personal about the attacks? You disagree, fine, voice your opinion. But name calling and be a jerk are unnecessary. I agree about entitlement. Really, it goes for any entertainment item. BioWare is a good example. We have expectations of a BioWare game now, and as such, we demand they be met, acting with fervor if they aren't. Yet, it is not for the game to demand anything. No company demands you spend money on their game. You do so of your own freewill. There are ways, as well, to determine whether a game is to your liking or not. Demos, rentals, etc. There are ways to try the game before buying. Let's reverse this. What would people do if BioWare refused to deliver Mass Effect 3? Let's ignore how much money BioWare would lose. Instead, imagine they could indefinitely postpone the release of Mass Effect 3. How many fans would get upset and curse at BioWare for this because they feel entitled to have the game released? I know my fair share of spoiled gamers who believe that certain things have to be done a very particular way or it's grounds to bash and abandon a company. But the article is right. The companies don't owe us, and we don't owe them. They deliver content we crave and we pay them for it. It's a mutual relationship.

If I had to guess at any, I'd say Sony, since they seem to be suffering the most in this race. This is coupled with the fact that Sony has yet to announce any plans for a new system, unlike Nintendo and what we're hearing about Microsoft. However, I have a hrd time believing the rumors that one of these companies will drop out. The Xbox is a bedpost for online gaming in the console world, and I just can't see Microsoft discontinuing development of new systems. Nintendo is possible but unlikely, since consoles are pretty much their business. Then again, it was also Sega's business, and they only develop arcade cabinets now as far as hardware goes. Nintendo could certainly make a good profit if they produced games for the other consoles (as well as taking advantage of those more powerful systems). Of course, with the WiiU, that seems very unlikely. That leaves Sony, but even they are still producing an incredible machine that people are buying. Sony may decide to pull out of consoles and focus on something like cloud-gaming on other hardware, via PSN, or develop some kind of swiss army knife of a piece of technology like cellphones have become, but again, I doubt they're pulling out of the hardware business and will continue to produce Playstation systems.

Gotta agree mostly. I was not thrilled with the fact that Brotherhood and Revelations were half steps, and chose to pass on them. I like Ezio, he's a great character, but I liked that the first and second AC games were almost entirely different in terms of characters, setting, and story. Brotherhood and Revelations felt like expansion sets. Although they may have been full games continuing the story, I just didn't have the interest in returning to Ezio's shoes. Can't wait for ACIII though. I'll most likely be picking that up for the new Assassin and time period.

Sounds like this is personal to Gamespot. Instead of, you know, being news. Gamespot, please keep your angry opinions in the opinion section and just give me the news. That's all I need.

Obviously, Launchpad is not the REAL winner. I mean, you can't even take that seriously. Launchpad McQuack, greatest sidekick ever? That's complete laughable.

This is interesting cause I am reading a novel right now on the same subject (fiction, mind you). It's definitely a very interesting medium and has potential to be something huge and epic. I like the idea ARG's present. With them, you can create real world scenarios that people can go out and explore. I've been participating in the Mission Icefly ARG and it's been a blast. Most of it has been web based, but there was an excursion to San Francisco and that was a lot of fun. I think that is the kind of stuff that makes ARG's so interesting and with so much potential. There are great stories here that we can get actively involved with, and the ultimate game is certainly a combination of realistic interaction and fantastical storytelling.

Launch lineup looks decent. I'm already sold on the device, I just wonder if it's worth picking up right away or waiting a year for the price to go down and a bigger library to open up.

Hmmm, maybe I am the only one that isn't that worried about what my identity will be used for. The only reason this is a big deal is because all this info was in one place. Really, you're identity is no safer anywhere else online. There are hundreds of databases with your personal data in them. This includes addresses, phone numbers, SSN, and even credit card info. But people are simple and worry about anything and everything. The same response would come from a break in on any other network, and if you don't think it can happen to MS or Nintendo, you're just being silly. Yes, Sony made a huge mistake, but what do you want them to do? They are making changes to their network to make them more secure. Live and learn. But, they are going above and beyond and offering an apology basket with some goodies. Fine, I will take it. I was never gonna give up on Sony over this whole thing. They still produce my favorite exclusives of any system. Once upon a time, all that mattered were the games being put out. These days it's not. Except for me. Keep putting good games on your system and I will keep coming back.

Certainly, it IS Sony's fault for having faulty security. However, I don't place the blame on them for this incident. Not to say they aren't responsible here, and there should certainly be some good restitution for this, since there is a lot of info out there in the hands of someone whose hands it shouldn't be. However, I don't hold Sony accountable for the actions of some prick who decided it would be nice to rip off several millions of people. This is certainly a huge disaster for Sony, one from which recovery will probably take years. I can't imagine many people trusting them after this. However, let's recognize that it is indeed the hacker's who are responsible here. No doubt, this is a direct result of Sony going after GeoHotz. It could also be just me, but I'm really not that worried here. There's nothing of my info on PSN that someone couldn't get from somewhere else if they were to hack there. So, I don't think of myself as being in any more danger than I would be from a hacker who got into someplace like Amazon or Gamestop.
