@grayyfoxx Or, if they REALLY wanted to make a TRUE RPG, they could go back to the times of games like Ultima, you know, before all our favorite JRPG's. See what I did there? Just because you don't like a game or the way it is, doesn't mean that it isn't an RPG. Bethesda and BioWare do create RPG's. You may not like them, but they are RPG's none the less and millions of people like them. They also happen to be very well made games with great characters and stories. Again, just because you don't like them, doesn't mean they aren't good, well made, and fun.
@Morphine_OD Or perhaps, as his games have demonstrated, he is interested in crafting creative and original games. If he REALLY just wanted our money, he'd create another FPS or RPG in the vain of what is popular these days. So, no, he doesn't just want our money, he wants to see a creative injection in the industry instead of millions of dollars invested into new hardware so developers can simply make the next, flashier COD clone.
Gotta agree. We don't need new consoles yet. Well, maybe Nintendo does. But the PS3 and 360 are doing just fine. What we need are more creative games and less of the sequels/clones that we keep getting. The most popular games these days are simply regurgitation's of what we've already seen. Look, I get it, people like formulas. It's why the COD games continue to remain extremely popular. But we need more game with creative input. Look at the indie market? That market contains some of the most imaginative and thoughtful game design in the industry, even over big release games. Sure, I have my share of series I enjoy that are a bit repetitious, but I prefer to play a game that takes it's time with it's story and gives me interesting and creative gameplay. New hardware isn't the answer to boosting creativity in the industry, it's creative design, and developers/producers need to start doing more of this.
@Munstable There are actually infected people in the game. You fight people who have been infected by some kind of spore, they just didn't show them in this trailer. You can see them in the first trailer though.
Max Payne for sure. Was never a fan of Diablo (or much of anything Blizzard does these days), so I'll be passing on that one. Will probably get Sonic The Hedgehog 4 as well at some point. The first episode was a bit disappointing, but still pretty fun, so I'll give this next episode a shot.
Played the beta and thought it was a lot of fun. It had enough variety to be better than the average multiplayer game. That said, still not sure about picking it up. It is a bit pricey. Perhaps I will wait for a price cut and then pick it up. As well, I also disagree with the review. This is very much a multiplayer game and I easily picked up the gameplay. Is there a learning curve, sure, but it's not very steep and easy to grasp after playing for a while.
Not surprised at all. Lucasarts cares about money. It's why they churn out the same thing over and over. The are well aware of Star Wars fandom and feed off it. I truly wonder what would happen to Lucas-everything if people just stopped caring about Star Wars. Not going to ever happen, but you have to wonder.
