Imagine being so privileged you can't go a few days without a few videos games while people fight for their equality and against their mistreatment. There are a lot of angry things people want to say, but they all lack one thing: empathy. Judging by so many of these comments, it seems people have a hard time putting themselves in other people's shoes. Maybe they should just refrain from saying things they know they shouldn't be saying and let people fight for the things they know are right.
@just1mohr: "That house is on fire, we better put it out!"
"You should spray down every other house too, cause ALL HOUSES MATTER"
That's how you sound. We're not talking about ALL LIVES, we're specifically talking about black lives, and we're going to keep talking about it until things get good enough. Unlike cops, who can take their uniform off, and unlike whites in America, who most definitely do NOT face the same inequality, racism and racial injustice STILL exist in ways and in numbers that should be obsolete by now.
This, to me, seems to be like giving WoW such a high score (it has a near perfect 9.5). This, despite the fact that WoW didn't really present anything that original or new at the time of it's release. But according to reviews from the time of it's release, it was a highly polished, accessible, and well crafted version of what we'd seen come before it. I have little interest in this game, but even looking at this objectively, I am skeptical. Despite the score, the review says a lot of stuff about the bells and whistles, without really talking about how this is different than what's already out there, besides the fact that maybe it's a little more accessible better paced. Does that warrant a 9? I'm not so sure. A score of 9 is supposed to reflect pretty grand heights in gaming. Heck, even the interface here is a derivative of Hearthstone, like so many others. If this didn't have the LoL franchise attached to it, would it even get a review on this website? I'm pretty skeptical that this game joins others on some of the highest echelons of gaming.
I was very interested in this, then everything I read about it said that you really don't do much at all and that the story isn't interesting enough to warrant the lack of gameplay. It's a shame, really, because I love look and atmosphere, and there aren't enough cyberpunk games on the market.
Hard to believe she would have died with all the people that'd be on set shooting. If Brosnan hadn't saved her, I'm sure SOMEONE would have. Maybe they even had a medic on scene.
@kami_amaya: Well, it says she told the story to Jimmy Fallon, so even if it's been told before she is retelling it. I haven't heard this one before though.
Looking forward to this improvement on the original. After playing through it again recently, the flaws of the game were pretty apparent, so I'm happy to see the remake fulfilling the epic nature of the original. I don't really buy it being a ten necessarily, but still worth playing anyway.
@bdl1980: No, it's better. FFVII's story is not as great as people like to remember. It's rushed and this game will flesh out the story in a way the original needed, plus it gives us greater emotional context. This will definitely be an improvement on the original.
@basketballfan: Or the quality of games is more consistent. New technology has allowed for better, more cinematic story and gameplay. So, we're going to see more high quality games that earn their grade.
