North Korea blew up a ship for no reason and then denied it up and down. Israel has made it clear that they have this blockade up because of Hamas' persistent attacks on Israel despite Israels attempt at peace. Those ships were sent by Palestinians to be a win win situation. If Israel blows them up they got great t.v. for the world to see. If Israel lets them through, then they can keep sending them...possibly hiding weapons and other such things. Hamas had those ships attacked, not Israel in my view.

The Israeli military spokesman's office denied that its forces attacked the boats but said they would enforce the decision to keep them away from Gaza.
They didn't need to blow it up, they could have simply waited it to hit land and arrest the people on board, or raid the boat on the water.
That seems like an initial report they are now saying they have taken the ships it appears and claiming that at least 2 have died. I think it is Israelis policy to not enter gaza if they dont have to, thus the blockade. They could probably just march in the and commit mass genocide if they wanted, but this is the tactic they have chosen. The fact is that boat ran right into an Israeli blockade knowing and expecting the consequences is their own problem, not Israel's. I dont like the loss of human life but here they backed israel into a corner and they had no choice.

So much ignorance in the world so lets put some facts straight. Yes Hammas is bad, but this has nothing to do with this. Yes these ships were intended to provoke Israel, but this is no reason in hell to kill more than 16 so far. Peace activists have been doing such things for ages, and I dont see them getting killed for it. Hammas stopped throwing rockets, and when it did, it was us who got punished. Just saw the vid of the Israeli commandos fast roping onto the ship from Blackhawks, and I thought that was badass.

Also, Hamas forcibly seizes Gaza, and fires thousands of rockets into Israel and they don't expect to get their teeth kicked in? I'm surprised Israel hasn't already given up peace talks and turned Gaza into something resembling the surface of the moon.
