It looks impressive, but not much of a leap over the original.

I think the visuals for World at War and Reflex were quite poor by Wii standards. Blurry and pale. I'd rather the visuals played into the Wii's strengths myself.

I'm pretty sure Edge or GamesTM reviewed this recently and gave it 5/10. I expect it to get those sorts of scores all round to be honest. Maybe a couple or 7's or 8's, but little more. It basically is Mario Party 9, with rebranding, and 8 wasn't too great.

It is basically a party game. Although you can try and form some kind of strategy, nobody knows how a race will unfold. It's not completely luck dependant, but you do require a lot of luck to win. If you can accept that, you'll enjoy the game a lot. If not, you're just going to be enraged lol.

It's an interesting concept, but it only makes things more complex. I wouldn't go as far as to say it was actually complex, that would be silly, but its a control method that uses a button more than it has to. With a Wii remote too, you really need every button you have for FPS games, as there are many different and important actions. The movement would feel a lot more like the dual analog set up to, as turning would become less fluid.

It's actually a very similar method to lock-on, which I feel would better help gamers adapt to Wii remote-based FPS controls. That way the screen can lock on to and follow an opponent, but the player would still have to aim the crosshair over the opponent themselves.

Well thats because the effort went into the engine more than the game. This time around the effort is going into the game as the engine is already there. I'm not going to say Conduit 2 is going to be any good, but to write it off based on the original is just the reaction of people who are trying to find reason not to buy something because there is a chance it may well be disapointing. Much like anything else they might buy.

Some people take ratings far too seriously. 8.5 is a really great score.

Yeah, Sim City Creator's best feature is the the different eras of time you have to play through in order to complete the main game. It works well to bring the player into the game step by step, introducing new features with each era, which makes things far less confusing if you're trying to find your way around the various menus for the first time. You can use this mode of play to unlock special types of building for the freeplay mode, which is just as enjoyable too.

I know the PS3/360 versions have online play. Does the Wii version? That will be what sells it to me. Without it i'd rathr just stick to the originals I still own.

Yeah, playing online shouldn't be a problem for your Wii.
