@themetal1996: i've had no problems whatsoever. i'm playing through on professional with the AI at the moment and i'm sure i would have noticed any bugs or glitches since everything has to be pretty tight with the AI on professional. there was 1 wetland majini who shot and killed us both through a wall (although his arrow was sticking through the wall i was sure he couldn't hit us), but that was it.

@jport7: i like the added challenges if i like the game and want to get some more time out of it. if i don't like the game i tend to not give a crap about the trophies. and if i really love a game i also tend to not give a crap either, because i'm playing the game purely for the gameplay (like dark souls) and the trophies come by themselves. i know no one is looking at my trophies if that's your point, same as i'm not looking at anyone else's trophies. they are, well, digital trophies. but they do add an incentive to some game for me.

@Mogan: yeah i played dying light as a kind of filler and had a great time with it but it was really unbalanced and became pretty boring at the end. and i played the Witcher as well, that one was fantastic, especially after bloodborne. while bloodborne had the superior gameplay for me, the Witcher was very story-driven which was great after a game like bloodborne that didn't invest much time in telling a story. but it's an open world game and there's something about open world games i don't like compared to linear games. can't quite explain it, but open world games always feel like a chore at some point. linear games are "tighter" if that makes any sense to you. it also never entered my mind to buy any of the witcher dlc, although i'm sure they're great, but finishing witcher was definitely enough witcher for me. again out of boredom i also bought fallout 4, and i liked the world but it took me forever to finish it because at several occasions when i had time to play it i just didn't want to play it. Finally i also bought Until Dawn, which was absolutely amazing on my 1st playthrough with two friends, but very disappointing on any subsequent playthroughs because the story always unfolds the same no matter what you do, contrary to what the game makes you believe.

This year started with re0make, which i haven't played ever, which was great (but yeah, it's a remaster as well) and two of my favourite game series dark souls and uncharted released games within a month. i will play those 2 games for a long time, probably for the next years. then re5master was released and i got hooked (again) with the amazing gameplay and mercenaries. So i'm good now. Whenever i have time to play at the moment i really have to choose what i want to play, whereas in 2015 it didn't feel to me like i had much of a choice.

So yeah, that's kind of the story of how i felt 2015 was kinda disappointing and 2016 is all rock'n'roll.

Edit: i would have totally bought rise of the tomb raider, but i'm playing on PS.

@kozzy1234: the 2nd had improved gameplay, it was only lacking a very hard difficulty to make use of those improvements, because on hard you were totally OP, but i liked it a lot too. the 1st one had a better story, although the immersion worked fantastic on me in both games.

@slappy54: true, that's definitely how i felt in 2015 when of all the games i bought Bloodborne must've been the only original game. but this year already had dark souls 3 and uncharted 4 and there's still more to come, like dishonored 2, so i for my part can't complain anymore. looks like the current gen finally arrived (2 years after launch) ;)

the MP was actually quite the fun, but it's fine they didn't include it. no more trophy/achievement hunting for winning on every single map. in a team a win only counted for the number 1 player, which was so annoying.
