@Ultima_Dragoon: i do like though how the game introduces you to the characters. i haven't gotten any paid dlc for this, but i can fight against all dlc characters in any mode and had the chance to try them out myself in the towers of time (i think that ends today, but had a really long runtime), which is a great way to advertise in my opinion.
@Iemander: i didn't understand it that way. but yeah the truth is the dlc just doesn`t seem to offer much for 40€. i'm obviously more than happy the new finishers were free for all characters i own. so the upate itself is amazing.
i have problems with motion blur. uncharted 4 gave me headaches when it was released, but they later patched in an option to turn motion blur off. i'm assuming this option will be available here as well.
i love the idea of making this an annual thing, because i have a group of friends who i played until dawn and man of medan with and making these game a little shorter, so you can finish them in 4-5 hours is perfect. i do hope they improve the quality of these "lesser" until dawn games though, because man of medan did have some flaws. first of all, don't give me hints like "not everything is what it seems" when i explicitly do not want hints. then the whole (SPOILERS) gas thing was way too easy to figure out and all the monsters were clearly our friends that the game wanted you to hit with weapons, it was just much too obvious. so i hope the story can both be better and have some actual threats.
i like the idea of "don't do something just because you can", but don't let it become "the best way to play is do nothing at all times". Finally where did the motion controls go? those were awesome and they got replaced by "press x repeatedly"? seriously? holding the controller still was building up the tension so well, all the while you could actually see what is going on. this "press x faster and faster while you pay attention to the rythm" was the lamest and most unfun mechanic i've seen in a long time, which is especially baffling considering the perfect mechanic was already there.
these are the most fun games to play with friends, hope the next one is going to be good!
@systemoverload: He's reviewing it for what it is. It's not something i would want to play either, but deducting points because it has less gameplay and more story would just not make sense.
@boom4real: plus we all just know it's going to be good. if someone didn't like the 1st game, sure, but why would you not buy a game you know you'll like that's actually expanding on the mechanics of the 1st (crawling/proning, bigger maps, doggos). If anything, everybody getting mad about some story details (i haven't spoilt myself yet) makes me want the game even more.
