@dmblum1799: what i liked so much about it was the balance to Souls. I played this right after bloodborne and it was a perfect fit. Bloodborne was dark, weird, and 100% gameplay-focused (which obviously showed) whereas Witcher was, well not super happy either, but definitely had that "sunny" rpg vibe for me, was straightforward in its storytelling and focused more on the story than on the gameplay.
in a vacuum i probably would not have liked the Witcher WH as much as i did, but the combination with Bloodborne was absolutely amazing. one for the amazing gameplay, one for the amazing story.
@Roach: on top of that (and what i personally hate most about it) these problems always completely victimize those people as if they had some weird disease. how many times has the reveal of someone being gay being used for dramatic purpose? it's sickening. and those filmmakers/seriesmakers actually think they are being progressive, while they are being exactly the opposite.
homosexuality and other legal sexual distinctions should be expressed exactly the same casual way as heterosexuality, without making a big deal out of it. thankfully some shows are already doing that, like the recent season of altered carbon for example.
@streetshark: i was about to write exactly the same. it IS more reflective of real life, which is why it felt super normal. inserting specific races puts those races way more on the spot and people will notice that the characters are simply there to "fill a slot".
now mind you it's totally fine for a series to have a mixed group if it feels natural, but just like real life there should be variation. there should be shows with all-whites, all-blacks, all-non-straights, etc. and shows with a mix of those. just don't make the same cast setup for every show. keep it believable.
i like Lisa, but i very much disagree with her on this.
@dmblum1799: i absolutely agree. gameplay over visuals every time. in that regard i am hoping for some innovative gameplay. as far as the ps4 went i didn't see anything big that separates them from ps3 games to be honest, apart from the visuals and performance. they still "play" the same.
